375ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish-purple, with a large crimson-tinged head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is mainly sweet blackcurrant, with some sour notes lurking in the background. To be honest, it smells mainly of Ribena. The taste is, thankfully, much more pleasant. It is quite strongly sour to begin, with some faint woody notes leading into sweetly fruity blackcurrant set against a nicely sour background. The fruitiness of the blackcurrant comes through more strongly in the finish, and there is a pleasantly sour aftertaste. I find fruit lambics can be a bit hit and miss; it really depends on the fruit. Blackcurrant seems to work pretty well with the sourness of the beer itself, although it does rather dominate the aroma. All in all, however, this is a very pleasant beer.

Refreshing tasting beer... Pours a dark purple plum colour forming a small light purple head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity, with blackberries and currants coming off there. Intense fresh black currant aroma, some funky notes. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. is quite sweet and definitely fruity, yet manages not to be overwhelmingly heavy.

Pink/red appearance. Nice, well-retained head with spotty rings of lacing. Tart, fruity, acidic aroma. Tastes of vinegar and sweet, tart berries.

Pours a unique dark red-pink, bubbly head, among a glowy red color. Very fruity aromas, ripe currant as the nose defining component, with sweet, almost marmelade like qualities. A gentle sour aspect adds to the complexity of the smell, while I can’t detect any acidic, funky notes. Taste includes a whole lot of currant berries, along with a slightly fermented, ripe fruit sweetness, which meets the palate in an almost smooth, very soft fashion. Sourness gives the fruit flavor a refreshing punch, while it remains supportive throughout. Interacts well with the sweetnes of the brew, adding a convincing, fruit focused balance. Finishes with fruits still being on top of the game, while sourness almost faded, leaving some space for bready malt clues.

750 ml bottle. Deep purple color, like grape juice. Rocky pink head. Exquisitely ornate Belgian lacing. Funky, fruity grape nose. Big grape and funk flavor upfront. Tart fruitiness follows. Finish is slightly dry and oily. Tough interesting, it’s not something I would drink much of.
