Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

375ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish-purple, with a large crimson-tinged head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is mainly sweet blackcurrant, with some sour notes lurking in the background. To be honest, it smells mainly of Ribena. The taste is, thankfully, much more pleasant. It is quite strongly sour to begin, with some faint woody notes leading into sweetly fruity blackcurrant set against a nicely sour background. The fruitiness of the blackcurrant comes through more strongly in the finish, and there is a pleasantly sour aftertaste. I find fruit lambics can be a bit hit and miss; it really depends on the fruit. Blackcurrant seems to work pretty well with the sourness of the beer itself, although it does rather dominate the aroma. All in all, however, this is a very pleasant beer.

Mooie mix tussen lambiek en zwartebessensap. Het zuur van de eenjarige lambiek is nog mooi aanwezig, het warme en diepe fruit ook. Jammer dat het bier flink aangezoet is. Had wat minder gemogen. Verder prima fruibier.

Bottle - Dark red colour, small rose head, poor retention. Red fruit aromas, some acidic and yeasty aromas.Taste is too sweet and too sour at the same time. Beer flavours are barely noticeable. Unbalanced, harsh, dumb.

Rosa Schaum, blank & satt rot, fruchtiges Rote-Beeren-Aroma, ausgewogene Säure, fruchtig erfrischend.

Gyönyörű, rubinvörös szín. Nagyon finom, ribizlis illat, semmi hab. Erős, citromosba hajló feketeribizli íz, alig érezni mögötte a sört. Erősen szénsavas, testes.

355mL bottle. Garnet colored pour, big, frothy, pink-tinged head with exceptional retention. Nose is berries, leather, minerals, a bit musty. Mouth is medium bodied, medium carbonation, sweet and berry forward (too sweet actually), same musty taste detectable in the nose -- like an attic -- underlying, an acidic finish. Not my idea of a great iambic by any means.

The first Lambic of the night for Cannery Row Beer Club. A very tasteful not too sweet beer. Cheers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Не слишком сладкое и не слишком кислое черносм& пиво. Очень питкое, но все же сочетан& вкуса пива и черной смороди& показал& немного странно&

Bottle thanks to Klimaet. Pours a deep purple-ish red with a pink head. Aroma has cassis, leather, dry, yeast, raspberry. Taste is super fruity, light tartness, very sweet, balanced, cassis and raspberry. About as complex as cola. Average carbonation and sugary body.

This beer pours a clear deep purple colour. It had a minor head with some lacing. The taste was acid and fruity, sweet and tart but all in balance so it doesn’t overwhelm. It’s a beer you might have 1 or 2 but that’s about it though.
