Bottle. Poured a dark red with an average sized pink head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing. The aroma was strong with black currants, a moderate dark bread malt and a light sweet yeast. It tasted sweet and acidic from beginning to end with the finish being strong with black currants that lingered on the pallet for an average amount of time. Mouthfeel was medium in body and dry in texture with a soft carbonation. Overall quite tasty and would be great mixed with a nice chocolate stout.

Surprising. peppery smell and flavor to go with the currents. Nice fruity sweetness but not cloying. Good lambic.

Bright purple - could be a kids’ fizzy drink bursting with chemicals were it not for the frothy pink head. Very fruity aroma, red fruit flavours, with blackcurrant unsurprisingly at the head, against a sour background. Fizzy and light bodied. So, it comes in somewhere between Kir Royale and Vimto! I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but I think it’s a good thing that beer has these crazy relatives on the outer edges of its family.

From 0,25l bottle, BBD: 07NOV2015. Pours deep hazy purple liquid, small pink creamy head. Aroma: black currant, tar, Taste: heavy sweet, light to medium bitter, heavy sour, black currant, lemon, Palate: medium body, sticky texture, fizzy carbonation, long bitter sweet finish. Overall: good, but too much sweet and fruity, killing all lambic notes except the sourness.

Bottle, pours a purple/red with a dark pink head, aroma is sweet and similar to wine, taste is sweet and some tartness from the black currants, has a light dry finish, not bad

Ik drink graag fruitbieren, maar dit was absoluut mijn ding niet. De slechtste van Liefmans dat ik geprobeerd heb.

Pours mauve/purple with a bright pink head. Aroma of blackberries and soft funky horesblanket. Good, as long as you like blackberries. Very sweet flavours, like drinking blackberry jam. Cloying. A little acidity. Some very light funk. Nice prickly carbonation.
