It’s made from malt, wheat, hops, water, yeast. Candy sugar is added before the bottling takes place. It is a clear, light red colored faro lambic with a small, creamy head.

Found this at GE Market District-certainly the easiest to find brew of the style and my first. A- Body is a completely transparent slightly dark caramel hue. Pours with <1/2 finger foamy white head that eventually fades to a thin collar with no lacing left behind in the glass. S- Nose is of moderate strength and offers a good bit of funk-cheesecloth, a hint of vinegar, and a sugary sweetness-that seems to be more of regular sweetness than belgian candi sugar T-Taste is much stronger than the smell. The initial flavor of of juicy white grapes, a very mild accent of vinegar, and a hint of cheese. The finish adds a lot of sweetness-almost cloyingly so- to the flavors already described. What lingers is a mild combination of everything described. M- medium to high clarbonation and a medium weight quite juicy body initially with a slightly dry finish. D- This is an interesting brew overall. My first of the style-and I dont really depend on Lindemans to demonstrate the best example-but I have a good idea of what its about. The flavor profile is slightly gueze-like but has a much lighter character and is much sweeter. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-07-2010 22:53:15

Clear amber with a small, weak head that doesn’t last. The aroma has familiar lambic funk, with overripe fruit, and sour apple. The flavor is mellow and enjoyable, with sweetness and tartness balancing each other well. Little bit of dark fruit mixed in. Light bodied with little carbonation. Clean finish.

Bottle courtesy of llcooldave. Pours amber with fluffy head. Aroma is allspice/cinnamon and apple juice with a little skunky weirdness. Lightly carbonated, Very sweet and reminds me of sparkling apple juice or very sweet champagne. Tangy apple candy. Dry finish, Leaves lips sticky.

375ml bottle pours a totally clear, copper amber with a creamy, white head. Honestly, the nose is like smelling a batch of Coors Light with brett. Nose is also apples, cooked corn, vegetables, grass, pilsner malt. Flavor is sweet, apple juice, barbeque sauce, apple juice, grass, light lemon peel. Medium bodied. I didn’t get this at all. Too sweet, no funk, no faro. Weird.

Finally knocking off this stylle with a 355mL botttle, and I didn’t have to make a detour in Dayton or wherever to get it. Nose is dusty and sour and very tart - high expectations! Looks are a little hard to determine in this light, but certainly clear orange leaning toward red with pink highlights, firm and persistent carbonation, and an extremely active and noisy head that both far outstrips and outlasts non-alcoholic carbonated beverages. Seriously, the duration and volume of head activity are impressive. Taste is sweet, almost cloyingly so, dries out only slightly (enough to be drinkable) and lets some wheat leech through. Has a nice little bit of grainy grit, but really not all that sour or tart, those qualities are doubtless more than tempered by the sweetness. No alcohol coming through, and just a hint of bitterness and yeast. This is an enormously drinkable lambic, moreso than most lambics I’ve had, which tend to fit that bill for me. After a few ounces, downright smooth and creamy. Wouldn’t mind trying another brand to see how variable sugar levels are, but on the whole, very happy with this.

A sugary malty beer. Small head like drinking simple syrup spiked beer. Great for an after dinner drink instead of desert. Almost too sweet to drink in any quantity.

I poured this into an oversized wine glass and I got a big white billowy head sitting on top of a ruby colored body. The head fades away to a nice lace but you still get a ton of carbonation coming from the glass. Big old funk nose on this brew that I couldn’t get past. Now the flavor was really sweet which threw me for a loop with the amount of funk in the nose. It was big on the candy sugar and fruit. It had a medium feel to it with more than ample carbonation to it. I drank about half the bottle then it became a little to sweet for me. So I sparked a big ass cigar and dam if it didn’t work well with it
