It’s made from malt, wheat, hops, water, yeast. Candy sugar is added before the bottling takes place. It is a clear, light red colored faro lambic with a small, creamy head.

Lindemans Faro is the most candy-like of all the Lambics I’ve tried. Aroma is pretty straightforward - fruity and yeasty. Carbonation is lively and the head is fizzy. Taste was somewhat tart and very fruity (as you’d expect). A combination of white wine and apple juice is the best way I can describe the flavor. Despite the low ABV, Lindemans Faro has a dryness and consistency which remind me of champagne. Overall, this is a great introduction to the Faro style. Not to funky and not too sour, it’s a surprisingly approachable beer.

Bottle. A- White wine, grapes, subtle funk, sour, musty. A- Amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- White wine, grapes, green apple, subtle funk, slightly sour, sweet, tart. P- Medium body, average texture, high carbonation, dry fruity finish. O- A good intro into beer for wine lovers. Tasted like a white wine with a nice crisp and dry finish. Not overly sour or sweet and just the right amount of fruitiness.

25cl bottle from Tasty Life, Xiamen. Pours orange brown with a minimal head which soon disappears. Can get the typical lambic aroma but a lot sweeter to taste. Not overpoweringly sweet though. Maybe good as an introduction to gueuze.

750ml corked bottle served in a Lambic flute glass. A: Pours a clear dark orange color forming a huge, fizzy and soapy white to yellow head. Great retention and lots of lingering and soapy lacings left in the glass S: Classic Lambic: Very fruity with strong notes of Lambic yeasts. Strong notes of Apple juice. Mild Citric and vinegar in the nose T: Sweet upfront. Strong notes of fruits, mainly apples, tastes a bit like a cider. Some caramel malts. In overall, a sweet taste. Mild sourness M: Very light body and strong carbonation. Sweet fruity aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Refreshing beer. A little bit too sweet [ BA Review @ 6/28/2010 ]

A nice mix of sweet and sour. The aroma is that of a lambic but the taste is a nice blend of sourness and sweetness. Not something I could drink all night but a nice change.

Transfer from BA review on 1-12-14- Served on tap in a chalice glass Appearance – The beer is served a deep brownish cherry red color with a red tinted head. Upon serving there is a lighter tinted, almost cream, colored head floating atop the brew. The small head fades over about a 3 minute time frame leaving some light bits of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma was most potent of some aromas of a Belgian candied sugar and some darker fruits of cherry and raisin. Some more funky aromas were there as well, consisting of a hay like and grassy smells along with a old leathery and somewhat grainy and barnyard like smell, which when mixed with the sugar and fruit smells produced a rather weird smell overall. Taste – The taste begins with a sweet flavor with tons of Belgian candied sugar flavors and a little bit of a darker fruit taste. A lighter grainy taste as well as some sourness is present upfront both of which grow slightly stronger throughout the taste. While some sourness comes to the tongue, it remains relatively light, being largely overshadowed by the sweeter flavors. A little bit of a hay like taste and a bit of a funky and lactic acid taste also come to the tongue more toward the middle and the end. The mix of flavors that finishes up the taste ends up leaving a rather sugary sweet, but lightly sour and funked flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. While the higher carbonation was fantastic for the sweet and sour flavors of the brew, a slightly thinner body may have been more appropriate for the sweeter and sour nature of the beers flavor. Even said though, the feel overall was still rather appropriate. Overall – Sweet and sugary with a lighter level of funk and sour. If looking for a sweeter and more sourbrew then this is a good go to, but for me it was a little too sugary to likely want on much occasion.
