It’s made from malt, wheat, hops, water, yeast. Candy sugar is added before the bottling takes place. It is a clear, light red colored faro lambic with a small, creamy head.

Robe cuivrée, limpide. Premier goût très doux, puis arrive une légère aigreur. Saveur de pomme et poire en majorité, léger arrière goût de rhubarbe. La gazéification est plutôt importante. Une bonne bière lambic, rafraîchissante.

0,25 l bottle from P & M Getränke in Bonn. Clear, amber liquid with quickly diminishing white head. Sourish aroma of fermented apples, white sparkling wine, lemon and rhubarb. Taste is of fermented apples, white sparkling wine, hot wine punch, lemon, rhubarb and candy sugar. It begins rather sweet and ends with a tart, sour finish. Well balanced. Medium body, average carbonation, sparkling mouthfeel. Overall really nice and refreshing.

Flaska bishops Gustav - frisk fruktig arom. Kristallklar! Lätt att dricka fruktig smak nästan lite som ett vin.

12oz bottle to tulip. Moderate funk aroma. Amber brown. Free of sediment. This is quite similar to a sweet champagne but with a slightly funky finish.

250 ml bottle from supermarket.
Dark amber to brown, moderate hazy body, with a tiny, frothy, white head.
Aroma of yeast, barnyard, sour fruits, earth, sugar.
Taste is very sweet, sugary, with sour fruits, earth, barnyard and a slight dryness from the background, merging into some salty effect.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes sweet, salty, fruity and a bit dry.

Good. The strong sweetness and the moderate, dry sourness combined lead to a salty impression, which is quite interesting. Otherwise not a beer I would often drink, the sugar is just too dominant for my liking and also disturbs the drinkability in my opinion.

Pours slightly translucent rose/brown with a thin off white head, very small, champagne type bubbles, very attractive. Nose is earthy, yeasty, cheese, leather, a little horsey. Rather sweet, chalky mouthfeel, there is a sourness towards the back but not overwhelming. I love it.
