Tasted from bottle into tulip glass. Poured a clear, reddish-amber color with strong carbonation but slight head and some lace. Aromas of bread, toast, toffee, caramelized brown sugar, almost no hops. Nice malty-sweet flavor, fruity with slightly sour champagne bite. Light body, spritzy mouthfeel, long-lasting complex aftertaste. Delicious.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nena (957) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Draft, Beveridge Place Pub. Cloudy brownish amber, small white head. Smells like a sweet gueuze, a bit of funk, lemon, sweet and sour apple. More sugary sweet at the start than it smells, moving to sweet apple and berry flavors, tart lemon, some lambic funky earthiness in there. Interesting and surprisingly drinkable, but I think I prefer other styles of lambic more.

bottle poured a red brown color with a ring of tan head on the glass. aroma has light acidity, candy sugar, sweet fruit, and some basement funk. mouth feel is light but has some texture and the carbonation somewhat low. flavor has an acidic base but the sugar just cuts right through it. mild damp funk and some fruits mix in with it finishing drying but the sugar hangs on. has some soda qualities and although interesting is a bit on the sweet side for my liking.

Sampled at the Bayou’s Wild and Sour ale tasting. Vinegar was the most dominating trait of this beer. There was a spicy and sugary aroma. Not a fan of this beer.

375 ml purchased at Winooski Beverage Warehouse (Vermont), on August 2, 2011. Pale brown, medium head that disappeared quickly. Barley aroma of sweet fruit notes slightly sour. Taste of bittersweet fruis barley and, sweet notes of herbs, aftertaste of ripe fruit. A nice little sweet lambic!

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet/sour. Flavor is mildly fruity (peach?), fairly sour, some lemon peel, not much funk, quite sweet. Don’t have much experience with faros, but I like it. Very refreshing -- almost drinks like a soda. Highly carbonated. Extra candy sugar makes for a full but not heavy mouthfeel.
