This beer has a amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is sweet with a light acid tutsh.

2005 Lambic Festival at Deliah’s Chicago (sample of a 2002, 33 mL bottle): clear, golden amber with sparse, white bubbles. Sweet caramel laced aroma with an interesting hint of yeast, must and candied malt. Overly sweet and lightly carbonated apple juice. Soft, slightly astringent bitterness in the finish, which was strangely enticing.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jokes (1453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 6, 2005
Amber body with a thin, fluffy white head. Sweet sugary aroma with apple juice--the kind the kids drink. Sort of thin, without as much body as one would expect with the added sugar. The sweetness was unappealing. I don’t remember the Cantillon Faro being anywhere near this sweet. I don’t know if that was my lack of experience and understanding or if it’s just a result of the different brewers. Either way, not my favorite.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 KimmoS (51) - FINLAND - JUN 4, 2005
The cap left some rust on the bottle. Caramel color, very little head. Low carb, feels "thick". As expected, browned sugar flavor. For you finnish speakers I would descripe the taste as "vappusima". The first time I had this I felt bad taking the last sip because that ment that it would end.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2005
A Mes rate:
It looks sweet as soon as you pour it. Appearance is a slightly cloudy redish brown and the head is as attractive looking as a head can be. Thick, foamy and slightly off white. Leaves some good chunky lacing behind too. The nose is faintly similar to a usual lambic just not quite as full on and you can obviously smell at least a little of the candy sugar. The flavour is quite different. Much fruitier than you would expect from the nose and initially very sweet. I mean sweet. The sweetnes vanishes as soon as you swallow and the finish is just like a lambic but much more gentle. I have not had this in a long time as they changed it and I have to say I really wish they hadn’t. It used to be so much better in my opinion but never the less this is a lovely drink. They really should make sweets like this...
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 microakes (141) - CANADA - MAY 18, 2005
Oh My God. Love at first taste, this one. lighty flavour of fruit that seems a mix of pear, apple and peach. Sweet, but not overly so, with a tart edge to it. Makes me angry that I need to go to Belgium to get it.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 lachesis (758) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2005
Light cloudy amber-orange color with small creamy ivory colored head. Nice fruity aroma with touches of raspberries, dried apricots, appletart, cider and brown sugar, also a woody unthertone. The taste is smooth and has a good balance. The taste is sweet and fruity and the acidity is well integrated. Again raspberrie in the taste, hints of sour apple, crumblecake, sweet rubarbe jam, some earthy tones and some wood. A fine faro with a refreshing caracter.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2006 Bottle. Sweet musty yeast aroma. Medium tan with small head - slightly cloudy. Sweetness is primary flavor - slight sourness and earthy undertones. A mild Faro - enjoyable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2005
(bottle) Dark amber colour with a small frothy white head. Acidic aroma of fruits, cider and candy sugar. Sweet flavour turns into a light sweet-sour woody & vinous mouthfeel with a rather dry, slightly bitter-sour finish with a good length.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornboy (422) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 3, 2005
Pour is wonderful ruby color. Some cherry funkiness going on, but I know the sweet will dominate from what I expect in a faro. Slightly tart up front, lots of sweetness midway through and finishes that way.
