Cloudy light orange, big head. Great sour apple flavour with orange / lemon, perhaps a bit too sweet otherwise. Cracking.

(bottle) Dark amber colour with a small frothy white head. Acidic aroma of fruits, cider and candy sugar. Sweet flavour turns into a light sweet-sour woody & vinous mouthfeel with a rather dry, slightly bitter-sour finish with a good length.

amber-red colour, few head, cherry and vinegar aroma, hint of black-currant, very very sweet with only a touch of sourness, quite heavy and unbalanced

Bottle with cork. Poured dark copper color with an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good barley wheat & yeast aroma. Medium body with tingly texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy sweet fruity flavor with a solid fruit and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout lambic.

A Mes rate: It looks sweet as soon as you pour it. Appearance is a slightly cloudy redish brown and the head is as attractive looking as a head can be. Thick, foamy and slightly off white. Leaves some good chunky lacing behind too. The nose is faintly similar to a usual lambic just not quite as full on and you can obviously smell at least a little of the candy sugar. The flavour is quite different. Much fruitier than you would expect from the nose and initially very sweet. I mean sweet. The sweetnes vanishes as soon as you swallow and the finish is just like a lambic but much more gentle. I have not had this in a long time as they changed it and I have to say I really wish they hadn’t. It used to be so much better in my opinion but never the less this is a lovely drink. They really should make sweets like this...

On draught at Poechenellekelder on 30 March 2011. Orangey colour with a very slight spritz. There’s some tart acidity here - apples and lemon - and an edge of sourness but it’s overlaid by a rather sticky sweetness. Which is, of course, what is intended (maybe not the stickiness) but it’s not really for me. This draught version is more palatable to me than the bottled but it’s still not really my thing. I just don’t find that sweetness and lambic character sit easily together on my palate.

Test vom 8.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,10,9,10,9 - 9,05

A dark reddish copper faro with a thick moka head. Very nice lambic aroma, with smooth horseblanket, sweet cherries, epsom salts, quite nice In mouth, a sweet candy lambic with cherry candy powder, apple and lactic points, quite nice. 1.73 euro for a 250 mL bottle at Galeries Gourmandes (Auchan) in l’Atrium du Palais des Congrès.

My first faro. 37.5 cl bottle. Light golden colour, thick creamy white head. Light earthy and dusty aroma. A touch of barnyard funkiness underneath the sweet syrupy cherry aroma. Flavour is lightly sweet, honeyish and quite earthy with a bit of fruitiness as well. Tartness appears underneath the obvious sweetness. Lingering earthy funk. Quite nice.
