bottle 250 ml from CM Sello EXP 06 Sep 10 light brown creamy white head. Scent:candy sweet Taste: very candy sugary kick at first dash of green apple sweet malts in the middle then dash of sourness in aftertaste. Ten years ago when I was a rookie in tasting I loved this kind of beers. No any more.

12 oz. bottle from Wilburís. Appearance: slight white head, amber copper color, clear, light lacing, head does not last. Aroma: grapes, oak, leather, prune, awesome yeastiness. Palate: light body, light carbonation, sticky fruit texture, sticky dry finish. Taste: very pleasant sweet fruit, into a malty, overripe fruit taste that balances the sweetness. very slight bitterness. Overall, very pleasant, maybe a bit too sweet, but pleasant.

Not sure if I agree with the brewers comments as this beer was a brick red and definitely not clear. Taste wise this is an interesting beer that has an initial sweetness that transforms to a bitter finish and unfortunately leaves a metallic taste in my mouth. This is why my palate and overall score was so low. Thinking bad bottle.

Bottle. Clear, golden tan in color with a small white head. Funky aroma with a bunch of yeast and wheat present as well. First sip, and I have realized that faro is my least favorite of the lambic styles. Shit is sweet! Fruity, candy sugar is predominant in the flavor, and finishes nice and tart. The tartness in the finish makes me want more, but the sweetness that comes before it is really tough to take.

Amber in the glass. Aroma smells of sweet malt, fruit, wood, and a trace of a lambic funkiness. Pretty sweet on the palate but does have a nice acidic twang to cut some of the sweetness on the finish. I could see this being a good option for people who like gueuze but want something sweeter and less sour.

Presentation: It was poured from a green capped and corked 355ml bottle into a Lindemans fluted glass. The label has a description of the beer but there is no freshness date or abv%. Appearance: Itís dark in the glass with a bronzy amber colored body held up to light. It has good clarity and some visible carbonation. A good two finger head caps of the beer. Itís off white in color and tightly packed. On the glass it leaves some spotty lace. Smell: There are notes of white bread, raw grain and wheat malt with a hint of sweetened whiskey or sweet brandy. Taste/Palate: It is candy sweet up front with notes of white bread, sweet caramel, and nougat. Some tangy wheat and yeast tartness just tries to sneak in as some fruit notes like sweet apple peach and pear lead into a stick sweet finish. The palate is medium bodied, smooth and slick. On the lips it feels sticky. Notes: Iím not quite sure what to think of this beer. My palate is confused, is it a tart beer trying to be sweet or a sweet beer trying to be tart/sour. It is interesting if nothing else.
