Just my second Faro beer. Not very familiar with the genre, but out of the two, this wasn’t the best one ;) It’s too sweet to enjoy for me. Has a fruity base of pear, apple and something funky like marzipan combined with soap or something. The the sourness kicks in, which is the special part of this beer, balancing the sweetness out somewhat, resulting in kind of a overload flavor sensation. That’s the part i like, but the flavor base is not my thing and it’s just too sweet without much depth.

20 cl bottle, served in wine glass. Pours clear amber with an one finger off white head. Aroma: barnyard, green apples, sugar candy, vinegar. Taste: dusty green apples, barnyard, cider, sugar candy, tart, green grapes, caramel. Very sweet. Light to medium body with a sweet, caramelly, tart finish. Very sweet but also a nice light tartness that I really enjoyed.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - wood and cherries. Apple cider vinegar dominant. Taste - apple liqueur going into apple vinegar again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a long lean tangy middle section that continues through the finish. Beautiful balance between sweet and sour. Overall - ah this is gorgeous!

Keg @ Six North Opening Night. Pours amber. Nose is lemon, sweet citrus, candied glace cherry and other fruits. Sweet, big dollop of sweet tea, slightly sour aftertaste, this is odd, caramel, way too sweet for me.
