COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s made from malt, wheat, hops, water, yeast. Candy sugar is added before the bottling takes place. It is a clear, light red colored faro lambic with a small, creamy head.

Interesting and good. The nose is sweet and vinous with some notes of oak. The beer is a clear effervesant brown with a fizzy cream colored head. The taste is vinous with some caramel and like oak notes. The body is light to medium with a pinpoint carbonation. The palate is characterized by a nice tart sweetness. Went great with a key lime pie in celebration of pi day.

a nice faro, Nice ruby colour.Foam head could be better. Excellent balance between the sour of the lambic and the sweet of the sugar added. Stays long in your mouth and tastes quite full

Bottle 375ml. Great aromas, a bit too sweet for me. Aromas of grapes, apple, honey, and cheese. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is velvety, with a medium body, and high carbonation. Amber, bubbly, with a thin head.

Nose: sour, cherrys, cider. Amber-red colour and head goes down quickly. Sweet and sour, well balanced. Refreshing, with a sweet-sour aftertaste.

Given how high I rated this, I probably shouldn’t think it could be easily confused with a cider. That being said, it’s an enjoyable beer. The burnt copper color was nice. The flavor was a nicely tart apple. The only negative thing that came to mind was it felt like it had a little to much carbonation.

355mL Bottle -- Pours rich amber with a white head. Wow really interesting beer. Sweet and tart fruits like apple, pear, and fig. The spontaneous yeast provides some great funky notes, even some blue cheese.

Pours slightly dark amber with small off white head, nice lacing. Aroma is funky sour sweet, fruity, apples, yeast. Lively carbonation, light body. very sweet/sour like candy first drink especially. Fruity taste, kind of like apple juice, small amount of spice. Very interesting and delicious.

Bottle from Al’s in Harrisburg. Aroma is sour and yeasty. Amber body with thin lacing head. Flavor begins sweet and candied and turns to a sour finish. Lingering sour aftertaste. Very unique, a nice treat

Pours a hazy orange with a large white head. Lots of lacing as it goes down. The smell brings out some citrus, tart grapes and apples, and some malty sweetness. The taste is somewhat sour, but mostly refreshing sweetness. A little bit of earthiness. The body is medium and creamy; overall, this one was quite drinkable, and makes faro a style I’d like to seek out more of. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-04-2009
