It’s made from malt, wheat, hops, water, yeast. Candy sugar is added before the bottling takes place. It is a clear, light red colored faro lambic with a small, creamy head.

Poured from the bottle into a Duvel tulip. Clear amber-brown with a large fizzy white head. The head resembles that of soda - fast audible bubbles that quickly recedes to nothingness. Smells lightly of traditional lambic barnyard with some vinegar and sweetness. The flavor is mildly sour masked by sweetness with a fruitiness, slightly earthy/funky , some wheat, and a touch of vinegar as well. Medium-low carbonation cleanses the sweetness from the palate. Even though I would call the body medium it is much fuller than every other lambic I have had. I was fully prepared to hate this just because it was from Lindemans but I was pleasantly surprised. Would make a nice starter sour as well.

My first faro. Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop downtown. Pours a pretty deep amber with a sizable beige head. Smells of a black tea with added fruit flavor, sweetened. Perhaps blackberry. Taste is also similar to a sweetened black tea. Very sweet with a bitter bite underneath, lemon juice inside the black-blackberry tea with some sugary notes. Tasty.

Darker golden orange, slight opacity, minimal white head; dissipates quickly. Very sweet sugary nose, hint of bright cherry, slight funk, slight tartness. Again, very sweet, but significantly more sour than the nose would suggest. Quite oily, medium body, really coats the palate and just stays. Good, could be great after a few years in the cellar.

Serving: from bottle purchased at The Beer Junction. Aroma: moderate yeast, citrus, floral aroma. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with no lacing and mostly diminishing longevity. Clear, light-orange body. Taste: lightly sour/sweet initial flavor and finish with short duration. Palate: light body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: soda-like and easy to drink.

Pours nice reddish colour. Sugar comes up in aroma, as well as sourness and some juice notes. In taste sour notes are noticeable, but the taste of brown sugar suppresses down the regular lambic style taste. Not bad, but can be better.

From Alcampo. In Teku glass. Reading CPPHTP10 Ch11. Adding sugar makes it less disgusting than a pure lambic but doesnt make it good either. At least I could finish it.

Clear molten wax/amber color with small coffee froth foam. Aromas are very fruity, sugary and sweet. Sour/sweet red berries dominate the aromas and it is quite complex I would say. Palate, Medium body, dry and sticky texture coating the mouth with dry sweet finish that does not last for too long although it is highly carbonated. Taste is sweet, sour with a dry edge to it and tastes like dry.sweet cider and fermented carbonated berries. Overall interesting, unusual beer, very sweet and dry. Worth a try.
