3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 frylock (1084) - Buffalo, USA - DEC 25, 2011
Amber colored beneath a frothy white head. Musty cellar aroma, hints of sweet fruits. Sweet, but certainly not cloying. A little bit of green apple tartness with some faint peach and oak. Not much acidity to speak of. Not great, but a pleasant enough drink.

This was very interesting brew. Clear reddish amber pour with decent carb. The aroma is sweet and musty with hints of berry. Slightly acetic as well. Flavor is very sweet, a little too for me. A nice tart bite to it, though. Glad I tried this style but not my favorite lambic.

Clear red berry amber, small off white head fades quickly. Aroma of sweet and sour berries and yeast. Mmmm... delicious! Fruity sweet, tart ,silky berry taste, some candy apple. Lively carbonation, light bodied, very refreshing. Sweet acidic finish. Perfect for desert or a nightcap. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2012
Brown 25cl bottle, best before 25th Jan 2009, drank 15th Feb 2009, so slightly older than recommended.
Poured into a ’Mort Subite’ flute (twice, it only holds 0.2 Litre.
No cork in my bottle, just a silver foil covering and a normal bottle cap.
Old marmalade orange in colour, with a huge cream coloured head (hence the two pours).
Vinegarous aroma, then farmyards, then marmalade with yeast and sour fruit.
Sweet and sour flavours, tart yet very drinkable. Drys in the mouth, strange and yet interesting qualities. Complexed and confusing. Sticky when spilt, I needed some water after the tasteing, just to cleanse my palate.
Is it too sweet? Most likely yes.
Is it too sour? Most likely yes.
The 25cl bottle was just about the right amount for me. Any more and I’d have started to find fault, any less and I might have missed something.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 omega (221) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 21, 2012
Not sure if I agree with the brewers comments as this beer was a brick red and definitely not clear. Taste wise this is an interesting beer that has an initial sweetness that transforms to a bitter finish and unfortunately leaves a metallic taste in my mouth. This is why my palate and overall score was so low. Thinking bad bottle.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Cunningham (1947) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2012
Lovely reddish amber colour with a fine white head that quick vanishes. Acidic apple and light sweet fruity aroma. Flavour are about the same. Light acidic with a lovely mild sweetness in the background. Fresh and very enjoyable. [Bottle. Trade with Mr Grima. Thanxxx a lot man!]

Pours reddish brown with minimal white head. Smells of sour berries dust and a hint of sweetness. Tastes sweet and sour with notes of barely and berries. Maybe a bit too much carbonation but other than that pretty enjoyable.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 peteinSD (632) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with a scattering of off-white foam. Aroma is a wet cheesy funk with candied sugar. Taste is artificial sweetness with light ligth tart and an off-flavor of funk but not in a good way. Just an overall odd, disjointed, and artificial presentation. Not a fan.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 bytemesis (161) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear slightly reddish amber with a medium head that dissipates down to a small head quickly with no lacing. Highly carbonated. Aroma is primarily of sour apple and Belgian yeast, slightly sweet. Taste mimics nose, with definite sweetness mixed with sour apples, Belgian yeast and perhaps a bit of malt. Surprisingly crisp clean finish given the sweetness. A very tasty beer.
