2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Thanks to rustychiles for the share on this one. Popped the cap with no apparent carbonation. Poured vigorously to generate some minimal bubbling; pours a turbid brown/red with a thin white film, no real head. Aroma has some complex sourness in the background, but it is overshadowed by the back-sweetening. Same goes for the taste. You can tell there was an interesting beer back behind there, but it is extremely over-sweetened on top of that. Pretty much what I expected (except actually a little carbonated) - lackluster, but interesting style to try.

0.375L bottle. Pours clear amber with a froth off-white head that lingers. Really interesting and unique aroma of sweet-sour cherry (almost like sweet tarts), some basement aromas, . Fairly sweet up front . Transitions to sweet-sour fruit flavors including apple and cherry. Finishes with long, dry sour flavors with some chalkiness on the tongue, similar to a cider almost. Full body with a thick mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Overall, sits on the sweeter side, and doesn’t have an overly complex flavor profile. A decent desert beer.

Pours a rose colour, taste is predominately sour, although not quite as sour as the fruit lambics I’ve had in the past. Cheers for the bottle Mike1977

pale amber brown, fluffy cream head. Sweet sour apple nose. Full bodied barnyard rotting hay juxtaposition against sweet Citric tartness. A small quantity more than sufficient.

From corked bottle. Light clear dark reddish color. Aroma is lollipop, sweet funk, and orange gummi candies. Taste is dank tart sourness, sweet candi sugar, prune, toffee, and a hint of bitterness. Quite sweet, but the dank funky tart character pairs well with that. My first beer of this style, and I really enjoy it.
