I really liked it, been seeking this style for awhile also. Yeasty, notes of cherry and strawberry... Sweet and sugary, also like a hef, and a bit sour as well though it should not make anybody pucker.

Schuim zakt snel, zalige Faro maar voor mij iets te zoet. Ruim pallet aan smaken, een uniek bier voor de liefhebber.

25 cl bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn (below Ä 2). Pours a deep golden colour with lots of thin sediment floating, and an off-white head that drops fast to leave a small island of film, then disappears. Nose is sweeeet! And also sour. Surprisingly, I find it quite non-offending, considering it reminds me of cherry yoghurt and caramel candies which Iím not a very big fan of. Behind that thereís some familiar dry dustiness. Very thick palate with a cidery dry mouthfeel, carbonation mediumish or below. Sugary sweet taste with very ripe yellow autumn fruits, with considerable white wine notes. I expected it to have more acidity, but that seems to be buried in the sweetness. This was my first Faro - I quite liked it! Not sure if Iíd have survived a bigger bottle though!

Bottle. Clear red. Aroma is sweet strawberry and raspberry jelly. The taste follows and adds a hint of chocolate and more sugary sweetness. Very low carb with a thin mouthfeel. Overall, not my favorite style.

Bottle. Clear copper/red with no head. Aroma is cherry syrup, oak and a little mint. Taste follows pretty closely. Medium sticky mouthfeel. Weird but not terrible.

Awesome lambic. Smells straight up of cherries, tart and delicious. Tastes are more of the same. Sweet, tart and fruity. Everything I expect from this style and it does not disappoint. Medium bodied with a lingering tartness.

0,375l. Pours copper with a frothy beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of apples and champagne. Tastes like Russian champagne with added bitterness and sugar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lindemans Faro is the most candy-like of all the Lambics Iíve tried. Aroma is pretty straightforward - fruity and yeasty. Carbonation is lively and the head is fizzy. Taste was somewhat tart and very fruity (as youíd expect). A combination of white wine and apple juice is the best way I can describe the flavor. Despite the low ABV, Lindemans Faro has a dryness and consistency which remind me of champagne. Overall, this is a great introduction to the Faro style. Not to funky and not too sour, itís a surprisingly approachable beer.

Bottle. A- White wine, grapes, subtle funk, sour, musty. A- Amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- White wine, grapes, green apple, subtle funk, slightly sour, sweet, tart. P- Medium body, average texture, high carbonation, dry fruity finish. O- A good intro into beer for wine lovers. Tasted like a white wine with a nice crisp and dry finish. Not overly sour or sweet and just the right amount of fruitiness.
