Lindemans Framboise

Lovely fruit beer with little "beer" flavour. Clear taste of raspberries, sweet and refreshing.

12oz bottle. Pours like sparkling grape juice, only slightly redder. Aroma and flavor of sweet fresh raspberries. Palate is light, tart, and fizzy. Not too sweet, and not syrupy. Aftertaste is dry with a light yeast flavor. Very tart and refreshing.

Cranberry purple color with a pink foamy head. Strong tart raspberry aromas, with a backgroundof earthiness and wood. Tart raspberries dominate the flavors, like a sourball, with a clear sense of yeast present and a slight mintiness. Champagne-like body and carbonation, a pleasant candy-like aftertaste.

Bottle shared by ESH-A. Thanks for the diabetic coma. Pours a bloody body with a pink head. Overtly sweet and lightly chewy, some tart raspberries and maybe a hint of of tart fruit, but nothing that the sweetness couldn’t mask. Maybe in 5?

Yummy...a tasty treat. I like to drink this beer when I want to enjoy the flavor and not worry about drinking something too strong.

Bottle at Chaucer’s Pub in London, ON- Rating taken from notes dating September 08. Red pour, appearing in the light, almost pinkish. Head is a puff of pink. Aromas of fresh raspberries, fruity jam, some yeast, perfume. Tastes sweet of raspberries and some strawberry with floral and yeasty components, leading to a slightly biter hop presence. Sweet and yeasty finish, prickly carbonation. Decent stuff overall.

Pretty straight forward and exactly what you’ld expect. Refreshing, tart, red. Better than the new age malt beverage crap, but obvious where they got their motivation.
