6ROW (243), corpus christi, Texas, USA Feb 13, 2009 dark red pour with small redish white head, aroma of sweet rasberry with taste to match.sweet finish! Taverner (826), San Ramon, California, USA Feb 13, 2009 Aroma is musty and raspberry. Flavor is sweet, and taste more like a Bartles and James Wine Cooler than a beer. Strong raspberry flavors dominate this one, not much funk, just a sour finish. berkshirejohn (1767), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Feb 11, 2009 330ml bottle from Waitrose, Wokingham. Beautiful raspberry colour, fragrance and flavour; little sign of the beer apart from a sourness to the finish. Very drinkable, but I was expecting more from this. dogfish120love (250), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Feb 10, 2009 Aroma is like a rasberry smoothie or a fruit pop, the pour is a redish/pinkish, purpleish color with a pink head. The mouth feel very much resembles wine in its finish. Slightly sour but mostly sweet. Sometimes Tart. Very reminicent of fruit juice, rasberries. Anker (305), Hillerød, Denmark Feb 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark red with a small head. Aroma is raspberry nothing else. Flavor is like fresh pressed rasperry juice, just a litte to sweet. Some tartness comes through and makes it pleasant. drjay44 (757), Salida, Colorado, USA Feb 7, 2009 750 ml. bottle. Shared with several others. Pours a pale pink head, over reddish slightly cloudy reddish pink body.....nose is almost entirely raspberry......taste of dry raspberry....light mouthfeel, good carbonation. Although pleasant, it is rather mono-dimensional. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Feb 5, 2009 Hmm, this one is hard to rate, because the Lambic style is SO different from other styles of beer. It’s sweet and tart, like the taste of sour Skittles. A tasty sample, but not something I would return to. Bontus (291), Waasmunster, Belgium Feb 4, 2009 Bottle 37.5cl Hopduvel Gent. Pours dark red with a pinkish head. Very sweet aroma’s raspberries, strawberries, ... overall sweet fruits. Flavor is very sweet with some tartness. As a beer I should rate this less as it indeed blurs the line between styles. But as a fruit lambic I definitely need to concur its fruitiness. In this category of Lindemans’ beers I prefer the apple and peche beers.
