A clean natural tasting brew with undertones of fresh raspberries and a wonderful aroma.

As soon as I pop the cork on this beer I get a sticky sweet mix of sugar and raspberry, then a bit of sharp raspberry skin comes through as well. The beer pours with a dirty pink colored head and is an opaque dirty pinkish tinged deep cherry color. The aroma is dominated by candy-sweet notes of raspberry, a hint of tartness, and a nice note of raspberry skins and seeds, the last of which adds a bit to the complexity of an otherwise simplistic beverage (not sure I can call this one beer).

Oh gawd, the beer is even sweeter than I was expecting, how unfortunate, did it have to be this sweet. Amazingly enough the sweetness actually drowns out the raspberry flavor at first. As my palate becomes a little more adjusted to the sticky sweetness the full raspberry character becomes noticeable in the front of this beer; there is a solid raspberry pulp note as well as a bit of tannic raspberry seed/ skin, and perhaps a bit of the tartness. The finish though is initially dominated by the sticky sweetness, but slowly a bit of tart raspberry character comes to take over the long lingering finish.

This would definitely seem appropriate over some waffles or such, and I can see this pairing at least somewhat well with dense flourless chocolate cake, but on itís own it is just too sweet, and most egregiously so far from anything that is Lambic, to really be enjoyable.

my very first lambis, so I wasnít quite sure what to expect. aroma is all raspberries! flavor is like raspberry soda that starts out sweet and finishes somewhat sour & dry. not bad, just not my first choice in a style of beer.

Feels like Im rating a juice or a soda. Pours a pinkish ruby red color with a creamy pink head. Aroma is dominated by fresh raspberries and sweet freuity syrup. Taste is all raspberry and carbonation. Feels like drinking a raspberry tart soda. Very different, but not bad.

What is there to say that hasnít already been said? This is a very interesting beer. Very tasty beer, but a little too tart for my liking. Iím with Cappadonna, who said "I would have preferred more beer taste and less berry." I do recommend that everyone try this brew at least once, if not more.

This was my first experience with this style of beer, so I surprised to see the purple color. The aroma is overwhelmly that of the raspberries that are added to the oak-aged beer. This tasted like a raspberry soda with a little beer in it...I would have preferred more beer taste and less berry. Iím not quite sure what to make of it.

wonderful cherry red appearance with small pink head...aroma is full of tart raspberries...flavor is wonderfully rich in raspberry....great palate...not what i would call a true lambic, but very tasty nonetheless

Bottle. extremely fizzy, good pop from the unccorking. Nice red color. Very nice as an after-dinner beer in place of sweets. Very sweet, slight bitterness/dryness on the back end.

Thin pink coarse-laced head; ruby-red opaque body. Powerful aroma of, well, raspberry; sourish, kind of like a raspberry sauce. Taste is all raspberry, big and round, somewhat stale, growing sharpish towards the end. May sound boring (or like Iím very unimaginative :), but itís actually very nice. Not in the least artificial-tasting, and not so sour you canít enjoy it.
