Be ready with the corkscrew for this one. Caught me off guard. Pours a deep red color, with an average sized, creamy, pink head that mostly diminished but produced excellent lacing. Big smells of raspberry, but if you get past that grain and cereal malts are there too. The flavor is mostly raspberry that starts sweet but goes bitter to tart quickly, yet not overpowering. Medium body with a light creamy texture.

Rose pour with a small head. Aroma was predominantly raspberries, and so was the flavor that followed. Beer was also a bit tart for my taste. Malted barley came through toward the finish, and raspberries provided much of the aftertaste.

strong raspberry (and cherry) aroma, with a deep red color, and a cherry colored head. it started fruity, and finished sour. with a fizzy palate. an interesting sample.

smells strongly of raspberries and tastes super super strong of raspberries. Very tart/bitter, but your tounge adjusts to the taste. Also fairly dry but a nice change of pace as long as the change of pace is once every 3 months, just to tart for me.

This is a great desert beer. It’s even hard to call this one a beer. Tons of raspberry in the aroma. The flavor is bursting with raspberry and other tart fruits. I would go for this for desert over a piece of cake anyday.

This rose colored, raspberry lambic beer is right on! The acidity of this lambic beer blends perfectly with the raspberries. Magnificent but subtle citrus aroma, deep and clear rose colored body with a soft, smooth, pink head. Delicate, sweet tasting palate of raspberries with undertones of tart berry, elegant, sparkling clean natural taste. Slightly sour, mouthwatering finish. This is probably not the best beer for typical social gatherings. However, it lends itself very well for: Chocolate desserts (especially chocolate decadence), fresh raspberries, ice cream with a raspberry demi-glaze sauce, sorbet, vinaigrette, crème caramel, baked Alaska, Olympia oysters, caviar. Personally, this is my all time favorite beer, this beer has a Gold Medal from the World Beer Championships!

Sampled from a guest tap at Piece in Chicago. Aroma of rasberry and cherry hard candy. Reddish with a pink head. Candy like rasberry with a hint of caugh syrup like sweetness. Overall, just a little too candy like for me, but not bad for a small dessert.

12 oz bottle - First beer I’ve ever needed a corkscrew for. Good thing my wife likes wine from time to time. I was surprised to see that under the cap.. Pours a beautiful deep ruby red color. With a short pink head that laces the side of the glass. Aroma is amazingly tart raspberries mixed with some slight yeast aroma and a little bit of hay. Taste is quite fruity... malted yet quite fruity. It starts off quite sweet up front but on the back of each swallow it turns sour. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated and almost like champagne. Quite bubbly.. Delicous on a hot summer day and a very unique beer!

Really sweet, but not malted sweet. It has a very natural fruit flavor, unlike many summer ales with lemon.

This is a very interesting beer. The initial aroma is amazing. And the color is great. There is very, very little beer taste in this beer, in fact it tastes exactly what those other malt beverages -- Zima, etc. are supposed to tastle like. The sweetness is well balanced, the fruit is natural not artificial, and the malted barley taste comes through as the very last taste. I doubt that I will buy it again, but I am sure that my wife would like it, and I can imagine a midsummer’s night in Belgium drinking this on a picnic. Well done
