I love this beer. Yeah, it tastes sort of like soda pop. And I didn't realize that it was only 2.5% ABV. But it tastes great.

(Fairly aged sample) Orange colour, hazy. Serious white head, going down fast. Nose of "horseblanket", raspberry - edge of natural-artificial. Fairly acid taste - lactic and acetic. Fruity. Ageing has completely got ridden of the syrupy symptoms. Result: magnificent flavour - just the negative taint of artificial sweetener. Very good natural carbonation. Young, I'm afraid this would be horrible. This 20-year (estimated) old beer has become superb. More proof all this bludgeoning of the natural flavours are nothing more than a "postponement of execution".

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of raspberries and sugar. Flavor is a little less sour than I expected, an explosion of raspberries. Palate is a little thin and syrupy. Overall this was a good lambic, however I did enjoy the peach and cherry lambics more. But still an excellent choice for #300!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(draft) Plum body -- dark and purple. Aroma is sweet raspberry. Taste is also sweet reaspberry, but there's also medium tartness. The full range of raspberry is captured. Body is sticky, light syrupy. For what it is, this is a beautiful beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The raspberries were way too dominant. Good thing I like them. Slight sour finish with some tartness from the berries.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Opened bottle cap, only to be met with a cork I hadn't expected. After finding a swiss army knife with a corkscrew, I got down to business. The bottle poured a nice deep red color. The aroma is wonderful and smells like raspberry sorbet. The taste however was less than perfect. I found it to be initially a decent raspberry taste, but then it made way to a cork flavored aftertaste. I inspected my cork and didn't screw through the entire thing, so I believe no particles fell from the cork into the bottle. It's an interesting brew, but at $9 a bottle and $120 a case, I don't think I'll be drinking it often.

1.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Smells good (like raspberries), looks great (like a medium bodied wine). Tastes like sour wine. NOt my style. A very feminine concoction. A few associates of mine enjoy it mixed into delirium tremens.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beer is capped, but also corked which requires a screw. More annoying than regular bottles. Beer pours (in Chimay glass) a raspberry dark red liquid light can see through with valentine-pink colored foamy head that lingers. Aroma is strong and waifs my way - speaking of a raspberry slushie with something more - a tart, woody root and seed of raspberry. Flavor is a fruity raspberry-sherbert punch with an unsettlingly strong rooty/seedy bite to it. This beer is more fruit punch than beer. But no sign of hops make this a winner. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ruby hue with a okay pink head and some lacing. Full raspberry aroma with hints of malt, earthy hops. Fruity sweet up front followed by tartness midway. Finish was thin and muted. Medium-bodied. Fizzy mouthfeel. Not bad but too one-diminisional.
