3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Spelt (223) - East Kingston, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 28, 2010
Aroma heavily of raspberry with light yeasty notes. Beer is a hazy, candy-apple red with a persistent thin pink head and drapes of lace. Struck first by tartness and then sweetness. This is heavily flavored with raspberry and one has to search to note anything else. Notes of green apple. Some dusty, cellar flavors. Acidity is nice. Very lively carbonation.

shared bottle. deep burnt red pour with a 1 finger white head. huge fresh raspberry nose. this is all fruit - NO sourness, tartness or funk at all. I prefer the more authentic (Cantillon) lambic to this style. I don’t feel like I am smelling a beer. This is more like pie. medium body with a very sweet raspberry presence from front to back. light tartness on the finish, but the strong fruit notes dominate the palate. overall, way too sweet for me - it is like drinking a piece of candy...
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 arkurzynski (852) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2010
Deep candy apple red with frothy pink head. Aroma is interesting - raspberries with almost a wild, musty aroma - not altogether bad. Great tart raspberry flavor that is sweet, but not cloying. Balanced with acidity and springy carbonation.

750 ml bottle. Pours an unclear red pink with a pink hued small head. Aroma is very raspberry, a bit sweet and sour, a touch sugary with some light wheat and pale malt notes. Flavor starts a bit sharp raspberry staying tart but the sweet syrup notes come in later and in the swallow. Medium body and a light but crisp carbonation. A bit sugary and sweet aggressive, but nice. Side note. I had some smuttynose robust porter too. I mixed one quarter to one third part framboise to porter And it was delish. Like dark chocolate covered raspberries. Mmmmmm

A fantastic fruity beer. It’s a literal blast of flavor. This is a favorite of my wife as she says she can’t really tell that she is drinking alcohol. Very very good.

Pours clear deep red with small pink head leaving some lacing. Aroma is pleasantly sour, fruity of rasberries with tones of malts. Sour and lean frutiy mouthfeel. Flavor is lean sour, rasberry a lot and sweet very nice indeed. Sour sweet palate, finishes acidy sour and rasberry sweet.

Rating #469, bottle from Lagersalget
An unclear bordeaux coloured beer with a pink head that dissapears.
Aroma is quite simple but delicious, pure natural raspberries that appears a bit sweeter in its aroma than normal. Taste is at first just sweet and marked by natural raspberries, but then the beer turns a little bit more sourish and some spicy flavors occur. Finish is sweet and has just a tiny bit of bitterness. Really nice lambic that I would buy again for sure.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 evr1dr (145) - Virginia, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Pours amber with a lively, thin, pink head. Nose of sweet raspberry and more raspberry. Very sweet taste up front, almost too sweet; maybe artificially sweet. Slightly tart on the finish. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Not a very smooth finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mansquito (1826) - washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 24, 2010
A sip from my mother’s glass 355ml: Pours a translucent red color with a red tinted white head. Smells like raspberry syrup and pretty much nothing else. Upon tasting it, you get sour raspberry, with a very thin underlying sweetness. Really tart overall. Not as much wild yeast as other lambics might have, but it is certainly there. Really, you could fool people into thinking this wasn’t beer, but that doesn’t make it any less tasty. Yet that makes it difficult for me to give it a proper rating.

Intense raspberry aroma and taste. Nice combination of sweetness and acidity and a quite nice apearance in glass.
