On tap. bah. This is pure raspberry Kool-Aid. When I lick my lips after a sip, my teeth hurt as they are assaulted by overwhelming sugary, syrupy, sweetness. When I think Lambic, I think exotic, tart, complex, sour. I do not think tons of sugar and sticky fruit concentrate. I had difficulty finishing my glass. What bothers me more than the ridiculous sweetness is the lack of beer qualties. I’m more angry than nauseated. I don’t know how to score this. Please give me a Cantillon or Boone Lambic. . . .please. . . . jimel001 (34), Los Angeles, California, USA Nov 2, 2008 Great cherry beer. I was really surprised by the richness and sweetness of the taste. I thought it was a little too sweet at first but it definitely has grown on me. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Nov 2, 2008 Bottle. Gorgeous dark pink head on very dark red beer, almost black. Rich raspberry scent. Tasty slight sour very raspberry flavour. Very sweet but very tasty. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Nov 1, 2008 Had this a million times, surprised I haven’t entered a rating for it. Had another at a halloween party and decided to actually rate it this time. Pours a nice hazy pinkish read with a carbonated pink head. Aroma of raspberry, sugars and a little tartness. Flavor is carbonated raspberry, lots of sweetness and a touch of sour zing to it. Good training wheels lambic and glad that it’s everywhere. This was my gateway drug to sours and real lambics. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 31, 2008 bottle, dark pink color with a foamy pink head, aroma of blackberry , cassis and refined sugar, great Chambord and Champagne flavor, well done sour finish boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle... Poured deep, vibrant red with a pink head. Well carbonated and obviously dominated by raspberries. Like berry soda with fermented yeast. Really tasty and addictive to drink. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 30, 2008 Updated: Sep 8, 2009This is miles above any other fruit beer I’ve ever tasted in my life. Too bad it costs about a million dollars and is too sweet and lacking in alcohol to be a more than once every couple years drink. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Oct 29, 2008 Pour is deep red with a purple hugh. Aroma is tart but lightly sweet containing a ton of real raspberry aroma. A somewhat full body preceeds the highly carbonated, tart, and sweet flavor. Has a bit of an acidic flavor as well. Damn fine brew.
