(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Deep red colour with frothy, pinkish red head. Fruity, sweet nose with raspberries and hints of cherries. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of raspberries and hints of cherries. A slight acidity in the finish. Light body, quite sweet. Slightly artificial, syrupy raspberry character and to be honest not much lambic character. But it’s got a tasty, juicy raspberry taste that is guite nice, but possibly a touch too sweet. Decent and quite drinkable.

Enjoyed while watching a football game with some friends. Aroma straight raspberries and sugar. Appearance cloudy red with a thick head. Taste extremely sweet, good mouthfeel, raspberries and not much else. I tried a New Glarus Raspberry Tart before having this, and it was much much better.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2011 I’ve gotta say first and foremost, I wasn’t expecting the cork underneath the foiled pry off cap. Well played lindemans. Poured into a tulip glass. Appearance is a deep purple with a pink/purple head about a quarter inch thick. Lacing is a splotchy pink and appears all the to the bottom of tge glass. Aroma is that of fresh picked red raspberries. Taste is sour red raspberries. This is a light bodied beer which should be evident by the 2.5% abv. This beer would be super easy to drink fast but it’s definitely one to savor. I do not regret making this my 100th rating in the slightest.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (15600) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 15, 2010
Bottled in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Hazy dark red, small pink head. Tart raspberry aroma. Sweet and sour with light body and heavy doses of tart raspberry. Rather intense, juicy flavour. Staying tart enough to not be cloying. It’s hard to imagine a more flavourful 2.5% beer, but then this is mostly raspberry juice with an addition of gueuze. Not very complex, but very enjoyable and definitely not an overcommercialized sugar bomb like the new wave of Belgian fruit beers.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep ruby red, with small pink head. Lots of lacing. Aroma and taste are strong with rasberry. Pretty enjoyable. Would be dynamite with a rasberry dessert!

Seemed like there was a while when this was on tap all over the place. It is not my thing but good for what it was. Fun to order every once and awhile. Serving: Tap
