Mutualaid (136), Texas, USA Aug 12, 2008 Pours dark red with a big lavender head. Aroma of raspberry juice and little else. Tastes of raspberries, raspberries, and more raspberries. Not as complex or bitter as the kriek but definitely more refreshing. Medium body with a soda mouthfeel. Rather abrupt finish. Would be a decent session beer if not for the price. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel Aug 12, 2008 0.25L bottle. Small dense head with a bubblegum pink colour, strong aroma of fresh and not overly ripe raspberries with faint herbal notes. colour is dark thick red, almost opaque. The flavour starts with strong fresh raspberry sweetness and some bitterness, and than strong tart sourness kicks in and blends with the sweetness leading to a long and wonderfull sweet and sour aftertaste. Yummy stuff. tedovertu (259), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Aug 9, 2008 Raspberry tartness. Very good flavor, but extremely expensive. It has an appearance of a pink blush table wine with the head of a beer. Although this is definitely a good candidate for girly beer it does taste amazing. A little sweet for my taste. Too bad it is so expensive. m4rest88 (216), Beverly Hills, California, USA Aug 9, 2008 I really liked this beer! Doesnt taste like a beer (probably because of its low ABV content) - it tastes more like a rasberry soda. Deep red/ purpeley color, with fizzy carbonation. It has the aroma of tropical fruits and a variety of berries. Wow I love this beer! I could drink a lot of this stuff and I am definitely going to look for it very soon! grikmok (92), Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA Aug 8, 2008 Poured into a tulip. The beer was deep red in colour and was fizzy. The aromas of berries. Initial taste of malts and ended with a sour note. Very interesting fruit beer. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2008 Completely Red/Pink. Super sweet raspberry aroma and taste. Not hint of alcohol. Not a beer in the typical sense. DarkBeer (47), Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2008 Some find it too fruity, but I have to say I love this stuff. The aroma is heavenly, and I think the raspberry flavor is balanced with the malts. Give me more of this, please. Armada (4), , Louisiana, USA does not count Aug 3, 2008 The holy grail of Chick beer...even men love this stuff..it’s pricey but worth it. For a more cost effective alternative one may try Leinenkugels Berry weiss.
