EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA Jul 27, 2008 Served this at a backyard party to a bunch of friends, many of whom either don’t drink or don’t drink anything remotely associated with beer. They loved it. More surprising, I loved it. It had a beautiful raspberry aroma and flavor with out any kind of unpleasant sweetness. The flavor just burst out with the champagne like bubbles. So fresh, like nothing I had ever had before. It had a tartness that resembled eating the berries themselves. Definitely need to serve again. BoBoChamp (1334), Gent, Belgium Jul 21, 2008 25cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, sweet, hazy, good head, nice brew, but too sweet Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Reddish/Purple pour with a pink head. Has a tart raspberry aroma. Flavor is similar, very tart and sour with a nice raspberry taste. very good. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 Lambics are truly worth their sticker price. This brew is heavenly perfumed with raspberry aroma, but not a syrupy aroma. It’s smell is full of fresh raspberry. It’s appearance is a red color, with a pink fizzy head. It’s raspberry champagne in taste, but not at all to carbonated. It’s smooth, adequately carbonated and easily drinkable. Perfect. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 14, 2008 Dark red with a foamy pink head. Raspberry and malt aroma. Raspberry sweetart flavor. Fizzy champagne palate. A good Lambic. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Jul 12, 2008 Dark red.Pink head.Very raspberry aroma.Sweet flavor and tart but not too much of either.Nicely carbonated. Not bad. It’s not something I would have all the time, but it is a nice change of pace occasionally. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 10, 2008 Updated: Aug 23, 2009On tap at Silver Creek Brewpub. Blood red with a thin pinkish head. I can smell the fresh, tart raspberries well before the glass approaches my nose. Not much else comes through in the nose but a touch of yeast – but the fresh raspberries smell great! Raspberries shockingly dominate the flavor smelling so fresh and so good. A tartness is evident in every sip. Excellent dessert beer/night ender as there is very low alcohol amounts.
Ɨ-4-7-4-14)Berry red with a large pink head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of yeast and fresh raspberries. Taste of raspberries, sweet malt. Tart, a little cloying but overall a decent lambic.
