Sweet aroma is followed by overly sweet, nearly syrupy raspberry flavor. Sweetening of these classic styles may sell better to the masses but I’d prefer if they keep it closer to the traditional sweet/tart profile. sirPino (855), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Bottle green, 375 ml
Appearance: Pours hazy, raspberry red coloured body, colour is intensive and lively from the fresh natural raspberry extract, body carbonation is weak to medium visually but the colour of it and its intensivity makes it more difficult to see, head is fizzy to foamy initially quickly decreasing, than lasting in a tiny size, head colour is off- white, reddish hue.
Aroma: Quite similar to raspberry juice, intensive, fruity but again I can feel some Lambic characteristic accidity, some notes of jelly - fruit of raspberry taste, generally very intensive aroma on the one hand but one dimentional on the other.
Flavour: Front is again like in the previous cherry version, so sweet on the tip of the tongue, medium bodied beer, medium is becoming accidic and the accicity becomes stronger to its peak in the aftertaste, well pronounced accidity perfectly rounded in the taste by sweet raspbery juice, no bitterness but in fact some grainy touch wheat or malt like, finish feel is long, you can feel nice touch of raspberry seeds, aroma like after eating raspberries fresh from the garden.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is accidic to sticky, carbonation on palate is medium, finish feel is fruity, clean, aromatic. FROTHINGSLOSH (1976), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Amazing that I had not rated this one already as it has been a favorite for about 7 years now - though price keeps me from enjoying it nearly as often as I would like. Sampled on draft for the purpose of this rating the beer poured a vibrant beet red color with a medium sized pink head. The aroma was full and strong with tangy, tart and sweet berry. The flavor is strong and intense with tangy, tart yet sweet raspberry. the finish is long, tart and intense. Liquid glory. EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Served this at a backyard party to a bunch of friends, many of whom either don’t drink or don’t drink anything remotely associated with beer. They loved it. More surprising, I loved it. It had a beautiful raspberry aroma and flavor with out any kind of unpleasant sweetness. The flavor just burst out with the champagne like bubbles. So fresh, like nothing I had ever had before. It had a tartness that resembled eating the berries themselves. Definitely need to serve again. BoBoChamp (1346), Gent, Belgium

This brew is heavenly perfumed with raspberry aroma, but not a syrupy aroma. It’s smell is full of fresh raspberry. It’s appearance is a red color, with a pink fizzy head. It’s raspberry champagne in taste, but not at all to carbonated. It’s smooth, adequately carbonated and easily drinkable. Perfect. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
