Once you remind yourself over and over that you’re drinking a lambic, though, it’s pretty nice. Reminds me of the filling from a raspberry jelly donut. Definitely not something you drink on a special occasion… or with ice cream. Even my mother will drink this. And if I don’t watch her she’ll drink the whole bottle. A treat! det2nj (31), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Smooth and sweet, with raspberry flavor-- with a pleasant bitterness accompanying the sweetness. It is clean and fresh like they suggest. It goes quick! alraicercsu (166), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark red. Smells almost too sweet. Tastes really sweat, preaty good doesn’t taste much like beer, more wine like. kieleszd (83), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Rich in raspberry, dazzled in character. Drinks like a fine wine. Is excellent in a snifter, stay away from the flute, let this baby breathe and drink it for all it speaks. I’m not typically a fan of the Lambics but this is exceptional. doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA

Pours hazy red/magenta with a thin pink head, semi-resilient, with specks of lace. Smells of tart raspberries. Tastes of sweet, tart, super concentrated raspberry flavors. Jolly Rancher raspberry flavor. Medium body, good carbonation that fades pretty quickly. gueuzeisgod (109), Graham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2008 750ml bottle, pours a rich ruby almost amethyst red/purple- thin head leaves a bead of lace. Aroma is overwhelmingly raspberry- jolly rancher, but as I understand it there are no synthetic flavors added. They must have used very ripe fruit. Flavor is rich and raspberry, only enough sourness to balance it out, not nearly as sour as many traditional lambics. Mouthfeel is smooth and silky, mild carbonation does not prick the tongue. Finishes out with a bit of the standard lambic barrel flavors, I wish they were a little bit more present. Incredibly drinkable but I enjoyed the cassis just a bit better. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2008 I LOVE this so-called beer. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth it. It’s only 2.5% ABV so don’t try to get drunk off it. It’s a phenomenal dessert beer! I love raspberries and this beer is the best raspberry beer I’ve ever had. The flavor is perfect. The only reason why I can’t rate it at 100% perect is because I wish it was stronger. No beer has ever tasted better to me as far as I can remember. Allen (1333), Switzerland
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Bottled 25cl. It pours a beautiful dark amber with a reddish, slightly purple head. Incredible aroma of raspeberries. Sweet taste which is flawlessly balanced with modest sourness. Poor lacing. Spritzy. Rasperries dominating. Some oaky woodiness showing up in the finish.
