Not much here in this one-dimensional beverage other than raspberries. Very, very sweet, too much for me. Due to the low alcohol content, I really felt like I was drinking a carbonated fruit soda. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2008 Had this some probably 10 to 15 times, surprised I hadn’t rated it. Its a tasty beer and a bit too sweet, but overall not bad. The key issue for me is understanding the way this beer differs from other fruit lambics in the way that its made. So overall its good but it ain’t the best. v64 (74), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2008 Amazing. Pours a raspberry red, has a wonderful raspberry aroma. Tastes just the same. Very strong, syrupy flavor. If you’re expecting something like a beer with raspberry flavor, you’ll be disappointed. This is closer to some kind of alcoholic fruit juice. I’ll definitely pick this up again. Pwn3d (1052), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2008 Bottled. Tastes like a Popsicle. smells great, super sweet and generous notes of raspberry. I’m not a fan of the pink colored head, looks very artificial. Flavor is incredible, miles beyond there Peach offering which is too sweet. My problem is that it doesn’t feel/act like beer. Low alcohol content further frustrates me. bdigital (586), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2008 Bottle: Pours a ruby red color with no head. Raspberry extract taste, way too syrupy for me...some yeast notes. Flavor follows with not much else to add to the party. Not a fan. maeib (4700), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2008 Bottled. A deep red coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is massively fruity. Tons of raspberries, quite jammy. The taste is sweet and fruity. Again sugary raspberries. Ok so this is commercially sweet, but it’s so drinkable and fun. There is some tartness to set it apart from the really crap lambics. I like it. AgentSteve (1357), SF Bay Area, California, USA

It is definitely a sweeter, non beer like beverage, but man, was it smooth and easy to drink. Sweet, cherry like and raspberries, along with a tartness that flowed seemlessly. gfolivares (67), McAllen, Texas, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 7, 2008 Updated: May 8, 2008Pours a beautiful slightly cloudy dark red with pink bilowing head. As soon as the cork is removed, room fills up with the sweet and woody aroma of freshly picked rasberries, still attached to their leaves and vines. This is a very sweet interpretation of the style, with the thick syrupy, sweet taste of freshly made rasberry puree and melted rasberry sherbert. Although much criticized for its heavy use of syrup after fermentation, this beer remains a world classic. Excellent as a party greeter or desert beer. Try with rasberry cheesecake or any cream cheese with fruit desert.
