DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Apr 8, 2008 Updated: May 20, 2008The perfect Framboise appearance - deep red with a medium, very slowly-diminishing, pink head. Strong raspberry juice aroma with hints of Lambic character. Sweet raspberry flavor with sugar and some light tart notes. Light to medium body. Too sugary as I expected, and nothing very complex about this one, but if you like raspberries (as I do) this one is very enjoyable. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 8, 2008 Bottle poured into flute- poured ruby red, thin pink head formed and laced a little as time went on, medium carbonation. Aroma of tart raspberries, yeast, and a sugar note. Hits the mouth with a high-thin body, raspberies are tart and sweet at the same time, finish is clean with a slight sour note. Desert and one for the ladies all the way, not bad though. KawaBomber (193), New Jersey, USA Apr 8, 2008 12oz Bottle: Pours dark red w/ a large pink head. Nice lacing ’round the ol’ glass. Aroma is raspberries. From across the room...raspberry. Flavor is very tart raspberry on the first sip, made my mouth water. Goes to a more sweet/sour thing after that initial taste. Not a beer I have around all the time, but it’s fantastic. Always enjoy this one. thehurt01 (201), Denver, Colorado, USA Apr 7, 2008 A 12oz bottle with all kind of info on it. The beer pours a juice read with a cream redish head. The smell of raspberries and cream, the taste is the same but with a nice warmth of alcohol. Good all around.
bottle. checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 7, 2008 Draft: Delicious beer. Poured a thick red with not a lot of head. The flavor was very sweet with lots of raspberries which is exactly what the aroma was too. Overall, this is a great dessert beer, one I enjoy after a meal. Lbaxter1988 (7), Massachusetts, USA does not count Apr 6, 2008 This brew has a massive amount of rasberries and a very sweet taste and finish. It pours a dark red with visible particles in the glass. When you drink this brew you dont feel like you are drinking an alcoholic beverage. If you love rasberries then you will love this drink. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. Sweet and tart raspberry! That’s what this one is! I really think the more times you have it the more you can detect the tarter/sourer notes in it. Maybe the first time it comes off as little more than raspberry soda, but to me it’s more than just a fun, silly drink, and a legitimate go at a super fruity brew. OF COURSE it’s no Cantillon, but I’m not ashamed to say I still love it. reakt (938), Greater London, England Apr 6, 2008 This used to be a regular on the roster until I got into lambic properly, sadly I made no notes, so here I go again...Bottle from Quaffs. Pours an opaque blood red with a rocky pink foam, you can really smell the sweetness as it comes out of the bottle. The nose is intensely sweet with raspberry syrup and a trace amount of lambic funk. In it’s defense it does have some slight raspberry pippyness but it’s just not enough to save it. Taste is much the same, kinda like artificially sweetened raspberry pop but more syrupy. It’s not awful but the fact it’s taken me about an hour to drink doesn’t say much for it.
