The flavor was very sweet with lots of raspberries which is exactly what the aroma was too. Overall, this is a great dessert beer, one I enjoy after a meal. It pours a dark red with visible particles in the glass. When you drink this brew you dont feel like you are drinking an alcoholic beverage. If you love rasberries then you will love this drink. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA

I really think the more times you have it the more you can detect the tarter/sourer notes in it. Maybe the first time it comes off as little more than raspberry soda, but to me it’s more than just a fun, silly drink, and a legitimate go at a super fruity brew. OF COURSE it’s no Cantillon, but I’m not ashamed to say I still love it. reakt (938), Greater London, England

Pours an opaque blood red with a rocky pink foam, you can really smell the sweetness as it comes out of the bottle. The nose is intensely sweet with raspberry syrup and a trace amount of lambic funk. In it’s defense it does have some slight raspberry pippyness but it’s just not enough to save it. Taste is much the same, kinda like artificially sweetened raspberry pop but more syrupy. It’s not awful but the fact it’s taken me about an hour to drink doesn’t say much for it. LilBeerDoctor (1489), East Setauket, New York, USA

Pours a dark red with a majestic pink, creamy head. Ah, luxurious. Aroma so wonderful, of tart raspberries. Flavor of sweet raspberries, some sourness squeaks by. Not too sour and not too sweet. Something everyone must try. Once upon a time, my favorite beer. Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA

The aroma is pungent with sweet sugary candied raspberries and cherries with a meek background of sugar tart candy. Man, this smells sweet. The taste is a load of sugar sweet raspberry and sweet cane sugar. I get a faint fruit tartness in the background. Basically tastes like over sweetened syrupy soda. thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Being this my first lambic, it was a bit of a surprise, I must admit. Pours a dark magenta with a pink-purple head. Aroma is strong raspberries. Flavor is very much the same. Sweet, and tart and very fruity. Not really much in terms of "beer" taste. Really moreso that of wine or just juice. Definitely different for me. It’s good...a bit too sweet for me though. And I can’t help but feel a bit less manly drinking this. Slightly hazy blood orange color with a fluffy pink head that lasts forever. Intensely sweet raspberries, with a nice sour finish for balance. Well-carbonated and has a mouth feel like chewing fresh raspberries, yet finishes clean.
