On tap. Smells powerful and surprised at the thickness of raspberry and sweet-sour atmosphere. Very juice like tasty but I worried about if I could finish drinking up this beverage because I might tired of the taste on the way. But it was ok for the last sip. Always comfortable with the effect of hidden bitterness. If it was not low alcohol beer , too much for me, so was quite nice beer. Exelent. Now I know through my mouth that there are a lot of beer styles in the world.

Poured into a wine glass. Deep purple/red color with a fizzy light-pink head. Despite the fizziness there’s appreciable lacing. Obviously the main aroma here is raspberry, but it has an unnatural saccharine quality to it. Flavor has some tartness but not really enough. The sweetener character comes through here in the form of a syrupy and borderline cloying candied raspberry note. Finish is thankfully dryish, however the sugariness is too much. Effervescence is a little too strong, and the sweetness is a little too syrupy to qualify for high drinkability.

375ml bottle from ASDA. Very deep pink colour with a pink flecked, tight white head. Pronounced raspberry fruit aroma with some yeast and almonds. Flavour began with a tart edge before an overwhelming raspberry syrup taste took over. Marred by a way too sweet finish.

From 25cl bottle. Hazy bright red body with a pinkish head long lasting and leaving a great lacing. Strong raspberry aromas even before pouring it in the glass. In mouth the raspberries overtake anything else, but still you get the nice sour finish of the lambic. High carbonation as it should be making it crisp and refreshing. Slightly inferior overall to the kriek from the same brewer, mostly because its raspberry unidimensionality in mouth.

Pours red with a pink head. Lots of bubbles. Aroma of raspberrys and sugar. Flavor is similar, way too overpowering on the sugary sweet side. Finishes Slightly tart and sweet. Becomes way too sweet after a few sips. Decent I guess.

Aroma is raspberry. Color is red raspberry. Taste is sour raspberry. Did I forget to mention the raspberries. Not a style that I would normally try, but I split this with my wife, who of course picked it out. No disappointment. We got expactly what we expected. With the high carbonation it really reminds me of champagne more then beer. Not bad though. A good drink to end the evening with.
