jmm1 (108), Andorra Mar 9, 2008 From 25cl bottle. Hazy bright red body with a pinkish head long lasting and leaving a great lacing. Strong raspberry aromas even before pouring it in the glass. In mouth the raspberries overtake anything else, but still you get the nice sour finish of the lambic. High carbonation as it should be making it crisp and refreshing. Slightly inferior overall to the kriek from the same brewer, mostly because its raspberry unidimensionality in mouth. pepsican (884), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA Mar 8, 2008 Pours red with a pink head. Lots of bubbles. Aroma of raspberrys and sugar. Flavor is similar, way too overpowering on the sugary sweet side. Finishes Slightly tart and sweet. Becomes way too sweet after a few sips. Decent I guess. wmubronco1992 (176), Coldwater, Michigan, USA Mar 8, 2008 Aroma is raspberry. Color is red raspberry. Taste is sour raspberry. Did I forget to mention the raspberries. Not a style that I would normally try, but I split this with my wife, who of course picked it out. No disappointment. We got expactly what we expected. With the high carbonation it really reminds me of champagne more then beer. Not bad though. A good drink to end the evening with. charlotte (1997), Vanløse, Denmark Mar 7, 2008 Dark red colour with reddish/white head.Taste of raspberries and vinagar.Flavor is sweet and sour ,not really well balanced but fresh and tasty beer. BeerGestapo (729), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 6, 2008 (Belgium) Dark Red color with a Strong Raspberry Aroma and Taste, WOW!!!!!! Too much for me, It remindes me of Wine. I wish i could appreciate this like my Devonshire Bro. afireinside96 (817), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2008 pours a cloudy purple with a bubbly pink head. smells very tart and raspberry, much like raspberry ice cream. very tart raspberry flavor with a little bit of wheat that sits on your tongue. some yeast emerges late in the glass. at 2.5% abv it is very delicious but somewhat pointless. Wulfstan (509), California, USA Mar 3, 2008 This is nice, tart, and tasty although not as yeasty-lambic tasting as I would like. It is light burgundy with a pale pink medium head thats lasts and leaves prety good lace. The aroma is raspberries and cake with an extra hint of yeast lurling underneath. The taste is light, tart-sweet raspberries with a hint of yeasty dough, tangy, refreshing and just a little bit sharp. It’s very nice. BMan1113VR (2758), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Mar 2, 2008 Aroma is an extreme amout of raspberries with a little bit of funky lambic yeast. Pours with a small, frothy, purple head with good lacing. Taste: no lambic, lots of sweet raspberry syrup....very cloyingly sweet. Dry mouthfeel, somewhat soft carbonation. Way to sweet, raspberry is not an undertone in this beer, it is the beer; think raspberry soda with alcohol.
