Arayaga2 (934), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 31, 2007 Definitely red with pink foamy head. Aroma is deliciously raspberry, like some handcrafted soda with odd funky tart notes. Taste is same, but perhaps a bit cloying, not unlike sweet-tarts. My only complaint is that in their effort to make a fruity beer, they have forgotten to put enough beer into the product. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Dec 29, 2007 355ml bottle. Deep ruby, Thin pink head. Big aromas of macerated raspberries. Flavor of raspberry syrup. Light body and very juicy juice like. PANTY-DROPPER gowdy (155), Ferney-Voltaire, France Dec 29, 2007 floral, citrus, red, cloudy, frothy, heavy cloying sweetness, light body, sticky, lively, like a fruit juice really. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 29, 2007 My first Lambic. Nifty 12 oz. bottle, capped and corked (neato!). Pours clear rosy red with champagne-like pink head. Huge nose of sweet raspberries with a touch of tartness. Raspberry and cherry flavors at the beginning. The whole taste is definitely different. Sweet and tart battle to command your taste buds. The sweet seems forced, like it was added to mask the true flavor of the drink. Highly acidic. Tartness wins out in the ending, proving that "evil always wins because good is dumb." Finish is tart, bordering on a true sour flavor that lingers heavily at the back of your throat. Very dry. Mouthfeel is thin, but viscous (huh?), keeping a nice silky texture as you swallow. Big carb. Seeing how I have no basis for comparison, this is pretty good. Definitely an interesting flavor, and a style that I plan on exploring further. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Dec 26, 2007 Nice aroma of cherries and super tart sugars. The taste is very acidic, and where there should probably be a maltyness to cut through it, there are only sugars to cut the high acidity which seemed to me very cloying. This a nice entry to Lambics, because some of the higher rated Cantillons and 3 Fonteinens will kick yer butt if you’re not ready for them. But with 2.5% abv, how complex can you expect this to really be? DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Dec 23, 2007 The smell of raspberries overwhelms you when you open this beer. Much different than what I usually drink. Good, but tasted more like sparkling cider. timfoolery (482), California, USA Dec 23, 2007 Another lambic, another departure from typical beer, but the stuff is good! Obvious flavors of rasberry and a smooth finish. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Dec 23, 2007 Had on tap at the Winking Lizard. Served in a flute. Poured a very pretty light red with a pink foamy head. Smell was all raspberries. Taste was carbonated raspberries with just a slightly tart finish.
