leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA Dec 7, 2007 Pours light and airy with a pink bubbly head. Color is deep amber red. Aroma is fruity and perfume. Taste is rich and complex - sweet, sour and rich fruit, all rolled together. Finishes tart, leaving the palate asking for another sip. Goes great with smooth cheeses (havarti, baby swiss). sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 6, 2007 finally had this. basically a raspberry tart without any without any of the sweetness or balance. for some reason there was a tremendous medicine taste that would stick around on the tongue for minutes between sips. reasonably sour, but not nearly as much so as the tart. 2.5% is a joke; the only purpose of this is to impress people about the variety in beer. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Dec 6, 2007 Not sure how to rate this as a beer. It tastes good and I think I’ve found a nice substitute for champagne and wine coolers but not something i’d choose when in the mood for a beer, better suited as a celebration drink or something to toast with. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Dec 5, 2007 Bottle from beers of europe. Aroma is super rasberry, artifical yes, however quite appealing, very sweet, lots of candy. Taste is again very rasberry, pritty much like a good rasberry ice pole, theres notes of lambic backing, however very much muted by the resberry sweetness. I dont mind sweetened lambics as they are far nicer than any fizzy cola or the like. However the 3.61 over all rating is a bit silly. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Nov 28, 2007 Hey, gotta love Lindemans Framboise. Very tart and delicious... better than the sweet stuff, IMO. Elbows up, side to side. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 25, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours a deep red, almost purple body with a ring of bubbles that stays with the beer after a small pink head fades away. Nose of raspberry jam and preserves, raspberry candy and some woody notes. Doesn’t smell artificial to me, that’s a plus. Fore is sour cherries, raspberry candy and jam, some earthy/woody tones. Sticky sweet, cloying palate. Medium bodied, lightly astringent. Finish is fruit and some acidic notes, medium length. I’m personally not a huge fan of raspberries, so Framboise will never be my favorite fruit Lambic, but this wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. DruncanVeasey (2695), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Nov 24, 2007 Recoiled in horror to read ’sweetener’ as a listed ingredient, but I can’t deny this is refreshing, natural-tasting...beer-based drink. Aroma overwhelmingly that of freshly pulped fruit underscored with a stemmy hint of wood. Thick and syrupy at its modest strength. Loaded with sugar, but with just enough of a sherbety edge to keep it in check. There is a bum note of Aspartame in there, but it’s pretty much overpowered by....raspberryness. In a good way. Almost claret-red with striking pink suds. A decent fruit beer. beisen (90), California, USA Nov 23, 2007 Decent. I didn’t like their currant lambic at all. But this one was nice. Not overpowering. Like an alcoholic rasberry cola, but smoother than that. I liked it.
