| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2007 pours a brownish pink color. aroma is tart and brown...that’s right, brown. it’s got a serious red raspberry flavor with a bit of malt and cider vinegar. not too sweet or too tart. makes a great milkshake.... leelavu (9), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Back in the day I used to love this beer. But over the months I think as my tastes have changed from the sweet to the savory, It’s been about 5 years since I’ve have this and it was just incredibly sweet. Too much for my tastes now. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Pour was a decent red color with some pink and some purples swirling around. Head was decent and pink. Above average lacing. The aroma was raspberry and yeast. The flavor was a super sweet, yet super tart raspberry flavor with some metallic undertones. Champagne-like effervesence adds significantly to the "chick beer" angle. The finish is somewhat dry. Interesting at first, becomes tedious quickly. andrewboss (137), New York, USA

I never had a lambic before this (the closest was cherry wheat Sam Adams), so this was a totally different drinking experience. Pours a purple head with a purple appearance. It has the most wonderful aroma -- unlike anything I’ve ever smelled in a beer. One of the best beer drinking experiences that I’ve had. What I love about it is that after the initial raspberry sweetness hits you, it finishes off with a bitterness that I love in a good beer.
