GreenDragon (213), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 26, 2007 Pours a beautiful hazy ruby red with a delicate pink head. Very unusual and promising looks. Strong aroma of raspberries with mild medicinal notes. Strong raspberry taste with lots of acidity ending with raspberries again, almost as though they’re in there, crushed. If it was a painting, I’d describe it as vivid. Tart ending on a thin body. Great beer for certain occasions - say a countryside picnic, but not quite something I’d fancy all the time. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA May 24, 2007 Color of cranberry juice with a pink foam head...smells of ripe raspberries...sweet, delicious...a damn good fruit beer! mlist55 (210), media, Pennsylvania, USA May 24, 2007 aroma is really fruity sweet, but somewhat crisp. a dark reddish pink beer flavor was sweet, but has some acidity as well. just not a fruit beer guy though. juiceisloose (644), Windermere, Florida, USA May 20, 2007 Poured a reddish color with a thin pink head. The aroma was all raspberries and taste just the same. Raspberries and sugar all the way on this one that finished light and sweet on the tongue. Pretty tasty brew. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy May 20, 2007 Bottle: Poured a dark ruby red with a light red thin head. Aroma was of pure raspbeeries. Flavor is a little weird it is definetly sweet raspberries, but also a tangy bitter carbonation taste. thefederalist (226), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA May 19, 2007 Draught @ the Flying Saucer Memphis 5-18-07. Opaque magenta, pink head. Aroma is of raspberries, raspberries, and raspberries. Flavor is sweet but tart. Tastes like a really good raspberry punch. Otherwise not a whole lot going on. Way overpriced. ~$1 per ounce. Sheesh. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA May 19, 2007 a little too sweet for my liking but i will give it a good review for the craft it must take to spontaneously create a "brew" such as this one, tastes like raspberry soda its delicious but can only have sips at a time as it is a tad too sweet, probably an excellent beer to have by the beach or pool in the summer....refreshing robertjm (399), El Cerrito, California, USA May 19, 2007 Absolutely georgeous candycane pink colored head. Very frothy and does collapse fairly quickly. Aroma of very fresh raspberries. Extremely cloudy beer as compared to the peche I had just before this one. Nice tartness that is a symbiotic flavor between the lambic strains and the raspberries. This is a CLASSIC beer that should be tried by everyone, including those that swear only by Budweiser.
