jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA May 15, 2007 Updated: Jan 8, 2008aroma is really fruity sweet, but somewhat crisp. a dark reddish pink beer flavor was sweet, but has some acidity as well. Pretty refreshing and pleasant. palate is active and light. a nice easy drinking beer, that non-beer drinkers can also enjoy elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA May 13, 2007 Pours a medium bodied red color with a reddish white head. Has some lacing to it, but not much. Has an overwhelming taste of raspberrys and sugar, but not syrupy at all. Finishes nice and light on the tongue. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA May 13, 2007 Shared with Elmatador.I had this years ago and don’t remember this beer being that good.Huge raspberry aroma.Pours a nice blood red with a thin pink head.Raspberry flavor up front with a slight sweetness with a small sour note on the back end.Finishes real clean with a small fruitiness that lingers for a minute. bboeckl (133), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA May 12, 2007 Bottle. Aroma was that of viniger, fruit. Poured a dark cloudy red with a pinkish white head. Decent lacing. Taste was sweet, sour, vinigerous. Apparent is the raspberry flavor. This beer was refreshing but by no means syrupy or thin. Really amazing mouthfeel. Great taste. Still--I am not a sucker for sweet beers. I would recommend chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA May 10, 2007 Pours a raspberry red with a pink head. A fresh bouquet of raspberries. Sweet and sour raspberries are tongue tantalizing. I’ve read a few times that this brewery sweetens most of there lambics. The sweetness lingers the more I drink. Has under toned acidic quality to it and an oak woodiness. This reminds me of raspberry sherbet. Its a good desert drink. If they had a version that was less sweet I’d probably like it more. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA May 9, 2007 a vibrant violet red pour with a light pink head. very carbonated, sour floral and fruity aroma. there is some very subtle sour but you really have to focus on it, because the overpowering smack of sweet raspberries that are so bold that it leaves this "lambic" one dimensional. beautiful flavor and appearance if it only wasnt marketed as a lambic...or even a beer, but a raspberry soda. rayg1 (432), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA May 6, 2007 Ok I know a lot of people don’t consider this "true" lambic, but I thought it was time to try the style again. This stuff pours out a heavy reddish color with a thin pink head. Smell is raspberry dominated with a bit of sourness lambic is famous for. Taste is again very fruity and sweet, too sweet really i felt like i was drinking the cosmo of the beer world. At the end of the sip as the liquid is half down your throat a slight sourness of lambic becomes present. Is 2.5% ABV right? I dunno, I suppose it is possible with this beer. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark May 4, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy red color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly diminishing light red head. Aroma is moderate to heavy raspberries fruity. Flavor is heavy fruity / berrie sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o))
