12oz bottle: apperance is dark ruby red with a quick fading fizzy pink head, aroma of raspberries, flavor tart with rasperries but well balanced with malt, tastes like a liquid raspberry pie.

Pours dark red with a 1 finger (chalice) creamy violet head that has good retention. Aroma is raspberry jam, pie crust, vanilla pudding, bird seed and some earth notes. Flavor is super sweet raspberry, floury pie crust, passion fruit, faint grainy notes, sunflower seed and a hint of tart lemon meringue. Finish is slightly tart and ridiculously sweet berry. Palate is medium to thick body with a blanket of tiny carbonation bubbles and a suprisingly dry, tart finish. This is just way too sweet and syrupy for its own good.

Jesus, this is outrageous! I’ve got a glass full of freshly picked mashed raspberries. After the initial shock wears off I could find hints of weak grape juice but all of that still gets clobbered by a thick raspberry aroma. Quite sour too. The taste is sharp and tart with tons of raspberry. Smooth, near medium bodied, lip smacking, makes me drool on every sip, finishes with sharp qualities and a lengthy sourness. Nice clear deep red brew with a small sized pink crown, great retention and some spotty lacing. Top of the line beer. I always have a couple of these on hand.

Strong rasberry flavor. Very carbonated, almost like soda pop. Very sweet which can be overbearing at times. Can’t drink a lot of it.

Still have yet to drink a whole bottle of this, the only times trying this was in very small quantities, most recently a swig from the bottle at same party. So again I can’t speak much to the aroma or appearance. Unlike the Cassis which I found enjoyable in its tartness and patchy/velvety texture, this comes off as overly sweet for me, as though some raspberry syrup was added at the end instead of actual raspberries. The base lambic is completely masked at this point.

From bottle into chalice pours smooth, crimson and hazy capped with a pink-hued head. Aroma and flavor is boldly laden with raspberries, tartness and very little astringency. Medium mouthfeel with palate-tickling bubbles. Overall a solid framboise appropriate for those who prefer tart, sweet and fruity flavors...even my wife (not a beer enthusiast) loves this one.

Tap. This beer was my introduction to lambic/fruit styled beers. Fully enjoy this beer. At the present i have a better appreciation for good lambics/sours/gueuze and therefore push this rating down little but worth trying even though this is a little too sweet. Not as good after having good lambics
