Bottle from 9th Ave Vintner enjoyed w Andy Streets Erica as we brace for Hurricane Irene. Pure red pour as it comes out of the bottle - turns a deep violet as it fills the glass, with an off-red head. Aroma and palate are both major berry. Almost a juice. Sweet but not sour. Good beer.

Pours raspberry red with small pink head. Strong aroma of sour berries. Taste is very sour raspberries with a sweet yet tart raspberry finish. The sour fruit will most likely make you pucker but this is almost like drinking raspberry champagne. A good one for the ladies and nice for special occasions as a substitute for sparkling wine.

Pours a hazy rich raspberry red, and looks like syrup! Smells bitter and tart, a little spicy even with quite a zing of raspberries up the nose. Tasted fantastic - a sharp raspberry tang is enveloped in carbonation that gives way to a smooth and intensely sweet/smooth finish. Leaves a sticky mouth feel and pretty tart as well. This stuff is so sweet it’s almost like candy, but in the case of the ripe fresh raspberry flavor - it is only a plus.

Easy drinking Lambic, with very little head. Full taste of strawberry, but almost too juice like. Smooth with a bit of a bitter aftertastes.

From notes: bottle poured into a branded flute. Poured hazy purplish-red with a big, bubbly pink head that dissipated quckly. Aroma was entirely of raspberry. Palate was an odd combo of light but slightly thick with a fair amount of fizziness that’s normal for the style. As one would expect, the flavor is strongly of raspberry with a dry, lingering finish on the tip of the tongue. It could become cloying if trying to drink several, but quite refreshing on a hot day.

0.25l bottle from CrackedKettle. This is a cloudy dark red beer with a small bubbly pinkish sidesticking head. Aroma has lots of really sweet raspberries, green apples, flour(!?) And hints of grass, cherries and strawberries. It has a really sticky mouthfeeling, average carbonation and it’s quite medium-bodied. Tastes really sweet with lots of sweet and synthetic raspberries, some distinct sour hints of lime and.. hmm.. Something reminding of cherries perhaps? Normally perhaps a bit to sticky and sweet for my liking, but it being a 0.25l bottle, I was in the mood and the fact that it had a nice sourness that balanced it quite nicely, this was a nice experience.

Deep red colour with a pink head. Aroma of rasberry, with a very subtle sourness. Easy drinking, flavour is a bit monotonus with the rasberries and quite sweet, with a dry long lasting aftertaste.

Dark red, bubbly. A little sour and little bitter in the aftertaste. Overall, sweet and strawberry. Very nice.
