Aroma is pureed raspberries. Not very subtle at all. Flavor is intense raspberry smoothie. Tart, tart, tart. With how intense it presented, I was nervously anticipating a syrupy finish, but thankfully that didn’t arrive. No hint of alcohol whatsoever. I feel like I had a smoothie, not a beer. clear red, small red head.
aroma of fresh raspberries, slight sour.
flavor is fruity, ripe raspberries, slight sourness.
i’d like the raspberry flavor a little more fresh, and less raspberry-jam like, and then i’d like to take away a little bitterness, and add more sourness. still a decent sour, that i might buy again. faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands

Lovely sweet fruity raspberry aroma. Sweet very pleasant raspberry fruity tart flavour. Long lasting fruity bit tart raspberry finish. Yum. Thanks for sharing Pinball! thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 12oz bottle: apperance is dark ruby red with a quick fading fizzy pink head, aroma of raspberries, flavor tart with rasperries but well balanced with malt, tastes like a liquid raspberry pie. fidelis83 (712), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Pours dark red with a 1 finger (chalice) creamy violet head that has good retention. Aroma is raspberry jam, pie crust, vanilla pudding, bird seed and some earth notes. Flavor is super sweet raspberry, floury pie crust, passion fruit, faint grainy notes, sunflower seed and a hint of tart lemon meringue. Finish is slightly tart and ridiculously sweet berry. Palate is medium to thick body with a blanket of tiny carbonation bubbles and a suprisingly dry, tart finish. This is just way too sweet and syrupy for its own good. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Jesus, this is outrageous! I’ve got a glass full of freshly picked mashed raspberries. After the initial shock wears off I could find hints of weak grape juice but all of that still gets clobbered by a thick raspberry aroma. Quite sour too. The taste is sharp and tart with tons of raspberry. Smooth, near medium bodied, lip smacking, makes me drool on every sip, finishes with sharp qualities and a lengthy sourness. Nice clear deep red brew with a small sized pink crown, great retention and some spotty lacing. Top of the line beer. I always have a couple of these on hand. kddewees (33), Muncie, Indiana, USA
