So again I can’t speak much to the aroma or appearance. Unlike the Cassis which I found enjoyable in its tartness and patchy/velvety texture, this comes off as overly sweet for me, as though some raspberry syrup was added at the end instead of actual raspberries. The base lambic is completely masked at this point. humulushound (113), British Columbia, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2009 From bottle into chalice pours smooth, crimson and hazy capped with a pink-hued head. Aroma and flavor is boldly laden with raspberries, tartness and very little astringency. Medium mouthfeel with palate-tickling bubbles. Overall a solid framboise appropriate for those who prefer tart, sweet and fruity flavors...even my wife (not a beer enthusiast) loves this one. vtafro (469), , New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Updated: Aug 19, 2009Tap. This beer was my introduction to lambic/fruit styled beers. Fully enjoy this beer. At the present i have a better appreciation for good lambics/sours/gueuze and therefore push this rating down little but worth trying even though this is a little too sweet.
Not as good after having good lambics Cirrhosis (615), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2009 I enjoy how these brews come with a combination of both a bottle cap and a cork not sure why that is though, and the beer gets bounce point for plenty of beer smoke when I finally got the cork out mmmm mmmm mmmm I love the beer smoke. Body appears dark rich red with slight hints of brown the crown is a pinkish brown and lasted a very long time. raspberry aroma and nothing but raspberry and its diffently tart. Full rich raspberry flavor with a perfect balance of sweet and sour. Mouth feel is so very thick and smooth. Dam this is like eating pure raspberry puree. I love Lindeman’s their stuff is freakin great but I do prefer the Kreik better. ucusty (1879), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Thanks to Nate for sharing. Red pour with fluffy red head and minimal lace, which is surprising b/c how large the head was. Raspberry jam flavor and aroma.. Overly sweet, but a bunch of lemon juice helped it a little tgncc (809), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Deep red purple color, lots of carbonation. The aroma is raspberries, plain and simple. The flavor is like carbonated raspberry juice. Cloyingly sweet, sticky mouthfeel. Not really refreshing, or interesting. gracefullypunk (291), Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2009 Clear magenta with a light rose head featuring plenty of rising bubbles. Beautiful to look at, beautiful to smell. Sour, red fruits, sugar all in the aroma. Tastes the same--primarily of tart raspberries. This beer is meant to be a sweet/sour tasting of raspberries and it does it superbly. MaltOMeal (652), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA
