UPDATED: DEC 9, 2011 250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Reddish purple colour, pink head. Strong raspberry aroma & flavour. Sweet aftertaste. A great low alcohol fruit beer.

Appearance - Pours a dark red with a faint pink head. About one half finger of head after an aggressive pour by the bartender. Head disappears about after 5 minutes.
Smell - Very sweet and tart smelling. You can really smell the raspberries coming through in this brew.
Taste - Very tart and sour at the first sip leading into a pleasant sweetness near the end. Taste can get a little sickening sweet after nearing the end of a glass. Some carbonation taste in the mouth with also strong taste of raspberries.
Mouthfeel - As stated earlier, there is some carbonation characteristic to this lambic. Very sticky feeling in the mouth from all of the sugar. Goes down rather dry.
Overall - Used to be my favorite lambic, before I had tried any others. After refining my palate a little bit, I realize that this is an above average lambic, but is not the best one out there. Probably prefer the Cantillons (of course) and the Oud Beersel lambics over this brand, but I will still gladly drink some when the other two aren’t around.

Moderate raspberry aroma. Cloudy red color with a small pink head. Moderate sweet beginning with a sweet, sour, and tart finish. Light palate.

Aroma: sweet raspberry juice/saft, lots of berries.
Taste: very sweet, like carbonated fruit juice, slightly tart, raspberries, strawberries, wood.
Medium-bodied, medium to lively carbonation. Body is not at all thin, as could be expected given the low ABV, kind of like a fruit juice.
Pretty tasty, but not very beery.

Ser ut som en cider. Luktar gamla hallon. Tjock, söt och sur i smaken. Liknande eftersmak.

bottle@Paters Vaetje: dark red with a pink head, smell is pure raspberry jam, taste is buckets full of pure sweet raspberries & jam, cotton candy, sugar, raspberry sorbet, raspberry sauce & raspberry liqueur without any hint of alcohol whatsoever, just raspberries in a million different ways, completely amazing

This one took a few sips to get used to. It’s quite sour, but it smells very sweet so there was a big surprise. Not bad, not my favorite though.

Nice deep red color, but it smells like some kind of candy you can buy at a fancyfair. Taste is sour, not my thing.
