ben4321 (957), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 15, 2009 Location: They seem to sell it at every bottle shop near me, but I’ve never actually purchased it, just drank it when others did.
Overall Impression:
I like my beer to taste like beer, call me crazy. If you call this your favorite beer, I’m guessing you’ve tried every variety of Smirnoff Ice as well...not bad, but not beer.
This stuff is to beer what a Manischewitz is to wine...it’s super sweet and fruity half-sister... chandler0201 (341), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 14, 2009 Purple pour with small pink head. Aroma and flavor of raspberries, strong and sugary, but delicious throughout. j12601 (1151), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA May 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark crimson purple dark enough that it borders on a black in the right light. Large soft pink head. Smells like piles of raspberries, with a touch of champagne yeast. Smooth and sweet body, almost creamy. Tastes like candy, or a milkshake. I’m half expecting to pick raspberry seeds out of my teeth afterward. Touch of funkiness right before a very slowly developing tartness that lingers for a while. Way too sweet, but it is tasty. BeerBaby (62), , Tennessee, USA May 10, 2009 Lively magenta body with a pink, foamy head. Aroma is strong raspberry with a slightly salty, sour raspberry taste. Love it! Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Apr 28, 2009 Pours berry red with a decent sized pinkish head. Aroma is fruity rasberry puree. Flavor is big sweet and sour rasberry. Not bad for a dessert beer. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Apr 21, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra and SMP. Raspberries and kinda poop malt on the nose. Flavor is pretty nice, but nothing amazing. Looks very nice, tastes pretty nice, but it’s just a chick beer. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Apr 19, 2009 Sample at the hodgepodge tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 4.17.09. Dark red pour with a big pink head. Raspberry aroma that is equally sweet and tart, but kind of artificial. Smells more like kool-aid than beer, and I’m usually pretty forgiving when it comes to fruit beers. Raspberry flavor that is also equally sweet and tart. Tastes almost like sweet tarts candy. fidel (886), Livermore, California, USA Apr 19, 2009 Poured hazy dark red, sweet, little tart raspberries, little grainy, little seeds, slght yeast, slightly acidic.
