Very, very tasty. Seems almost like it’s not beer though, and that scares me. Great for a lady too!

On tap at Rarebird. Bright red pour with a pink head. Big aroma and taste of raspberries. Tasty little dessert beer.

Ruby red color. Served in a flight with homemade ice cream. A lambic float at the local brewpub. Great sweet and sour raspberry taste. Reminds me of a Flintstones push up.

BOTTLE 25 CL from dcmchew. Look: deep ruby and clear, pink frothy head with below average retention. Aroma: raspberry syrup, with some raspberry seeds bitterness/spice. Taste: very sweet and syrupy raspberry, balanced, or rather accompanied, by a strong clean acidity without any lambic funk.

A sweet desert beer. Way too cloyng to be refreshing.

Dark raspberry, pink head. Tastes like a raspberry soda. No, thank you. Next one.

Pours unlike any beer I’ve see before: deep pomegranate red with a fizzy cotton candy cap. Little disappointed when I got this home from the LCBO & saw the 2.5% lack of fire power. But it’s turned into a damn fine Sunday afternoon sipper. Tart raspberry with a soda like sweetness rule the tongue. Yeah, I’d like it more on the sour side. And yeah, I still wish it had a little more oooomph on the alcohol side. But this is really enjoyable & full flavoured.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours dark ruby with a deep pink head. Gorgeous. Tart raspberry aroma, very nice. Taste is syrupy sweet raspberry, giving way to a nice sour tart finish. Nice smooth body. Good stuff.

750 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours deep raspberry-red with a moderate pink head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has huge raspberries, along with raspberry seed, perhaps cranberry, earth and straw. The flavour is moderately sweet with a nice raspberry tartness. Yeast and wheat malts peek through towards the end, but are muted. The finish is long and fruity with raspberries and a mild tartness. On the palate it is medium in body with a milky smooth texture and average carbonation. Overall, a decent framboise, but perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste; I would have preferred to see more of the raspberry tartness come through on its own. 2014-07-18

Deep red colour with solid opalescence offering a redish head which fades relatively fast. On the nose the raspberry note is dominant but also subtle wood and earthy notes are present. The texture is softly carbonated with a noticeable slickness developping. The beer is fruity sweet with some fruity acidity of course infused by the raspberry. The finish is sweet, slick and fruity dry lasting harmonically on the palate becoming a bit chewy.

750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a dark burgundy colour with average-sized rose-coloured head. Aroma is gently tart raspberries and other berryish notes. Flavour is big, remarkably juicy raspberry with just a mellow tartness and some fruity yeastiness. Not at all watery despite the ABV. Impressive.
