Overly sweet and extremely tart. Taste significantly like pomegranate juice and only slightly like raspberries. Has a bit of an artificial sweetness to it that is off putting.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep red with beautiful pink head. Excellent aroma of fresh raspberries mixed with some fruity brett. Sweet, fruity and bitter mouth feel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is loads of sweet raspberries, tart brett, acidic citrus and some round malt. Overall: What a beer! The raspberries is incredible well balanced with the sourness and tartness. Very sophisticated and complex.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sweet raspberry aroma, hint of yoghurt/dairy. Deep cloudy red appearance, high pink head. Raspberry flavour is strong and sweet, balanced by the tartness and convict sour taste. even though the raspberry is the driving flavour, the malt and barrel aging still shine through, giving a hint of vanilla. Excellent drop.

Dark red pour with a slight pink head on top. Fruity aroma followed by a nice sweet raspberry taste. Finishes with a mouth puckering bitter. Very nice beer, a little sweet for me.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma - Heavy on the raspberry. Not much malt or sour complexity. Slight hints of vanilla. Reminded me of raspberry frozen yogurt.
Appearance - Deep red and translucent. Thin pink head.
Taste - Good balance of raspberry fruitiness and lambic sourness. The balance leans toward the tart raspberry, but the lambic funk is definitely notice able.
Mouthfeel - highly carbonated and acidic. Light-medium bodied.
Overall - a very nice and a approachable sour beer. Highly drinkable and refreshing with some good complex notes as well.

Pours a deep red-purple with a thin pink head and ring, leaving substantial doily lace. Nose involves big raspberry jam, covering up what else might be there (cheesy hops? tart, slightly funky yeast?). Really sweet, but very tart. Lots of carb action, medium to light body, with a long puckering bramble fruit finish. Fairly tasty in small doses, but gets overbearing after a while. Might make a good reduction or glaze if those things are possible (I’m not a chef in black), and certainly mixes well with a chocolate beer. If it came in a 4 oz. bottle, I’d be all set.

Had on tap at Rochester Mills Brewery. Pours a nice ruby color with a foamy pink head. Smells like raspberries. Taste is tart and fruity. This is closer to wine than beer, but it’s pretty tasty.

375 ml. bottle poured in to a flute, BBE April 2015. Deep red colour with a frothy, pink head. Good looking. Sweet aroma with raspberries, fruit juice, syrup and a lightly tart note. Very light sour taste - the syrup kicks in here. Medium body with a thinner texture and a lively carbonation. Good for a 2.5 % alcohol. Finishes lightly tart and drying with light hints of wood, citrus and an impressive amount of raspberries. Mostly a sweet fruit beer. But has some Lambic impressions after all. A good start for a Lambic rookie.
