UPDATED: NOV 24, 2004 ’UNDERTONES of fresh raspberries’? I think not. Drinking this Lambic is second only, on the ’experiencing raspberries’ scale, to actually eating a raspberry. However, I love Raspberries and I love Lambics. I can’t think of anything NOT enjoyable about this beer. This is just a very fun/sweet/tart beer to drink. However, don’t pop the top expecting complexity.

Bottled. Bright red with fizzed white head. Sweet, sweet, sweet with a vanilla raspberry flavour. Could do with a malty background or a hop burst, but I suppose it does what it says on the bottle.

(25cl bottle) Hazy, red coloured hue with a medium-sized, slowly lacing pink foamy head. Sweet, slightly syrupy and strong raspberry-fruity nose with a light acidic background. Sour and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Acidic raspberry-fruity taste with a faint lambic-character; sourish and slightly sweet and syrupy fruity finish. Truly nice, although not that elaborated fruit lambic (30.03.08).

dark red colour, deep raspberry aroma and flavor, sweet sweet sweet ... - good as an aperitiv

Raspberry and woody aroma. Flavor is flowery sweet that has a very sweet finish. Refershing acidity and tartness

A Mes rate: 37.5cl bottle from Dranken Geers.
Ok, it looks artificial and far removed from beery but the colour geek in me loves it. Candy apple red topped with bright baby pink foam. Glorious. Sadly the rest of it is equally artificial and ridiculously sweet. Seedy raspberry jam aroma. Slight lambic funk in the mouth but totally dominated by fruit syrup. In all honsty, take the thick sweetness away and it could be ok. Sadly, it’s more akin to an additive filled kids drink.

Test vom 14.5.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,9,10,9,14,9 - 9,20

Burgundy red lambic with a thin purplish head. Homemade raspberry jelly aroma, nice and fragrant. Very sweet raspberry juice with nice lactic acid points, comming through nicely. Good carbonation. I like this one. May 2005, thanks Capflu.

Lots of raspberries in this one. Thick aroma of fresh pressed raspberries and a very light, but noticable hop presence. Very smooth, almost syrupy palate with great complexity. Sweet and sour are captured in their entirity making a lasting impression that leaves me wanting more. Doesn’t really taste so much like a typical beer, but has beer/lambic qualities to it and a great drinkability.
