Dacrza (159), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Nov 7, 2007 Returning to one of the first beers to make me realize my destiny of beer-tasting the world, way back at Clancy’s (Bloomsburg, PA) in my college days...thick crimson red body with a full inch off-white creamy head in its official Lindemans flute....will it be redundant--or obvious--to note the raspberry? a light yeast strain as well...refreshingly delicious...creamy, fizzy, lively palate balances with a soft presence perfectly...a tart raspberry to start... acidic, slightly burning end...as enjoyable and candylike a beer I’ve experienced...the fiz and burn could be a slight turn-off, but tart and appropriate to its promise...perfect as a stand-alone...
bbobb (6), , Indiana, USA does not count Sep 2, 2008 From bottle. If you approach this thinking beer, it’s strange at best, completely and totally wrong at worst. However, if you approach this thinking dessert, well then you’ve got something very nice in your hands. From the deep red color to the juanty pink foam, to the almost over the top sweet raspberry flavor this is what KoolAid wants to be when it grows up. smjohnst (132), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 30, 2008 Had a very sour kind of smell. HEAVY raspberry flavor with no hint of beer to it at all. The lindemans stuff is just weird. Palidor19 (1279), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 gives a real initial tartness of the first sip, after the shock taste of Raspberry sherbet and fizzy taste. skoll (35), Traverse City, Michigan, USA Aug 26, 2008 Large, foamy, frothy, pink head is slow to diminish. Deep ruby body is murky from raspberry particles. Grain malt (light); tons of raspberries. Hard to really detect other aromas, but the aroma is both more sweet and more sour than pure raspberry juice. Heavily sweet, lightly sour flavor becomes a heavily sweet, moderately sour finish. zvikar (18), , Israel Aug 26, 2008 Red to purple deep color, great fragance, real nice raspberry winey flavour, better than his kriek brother.
