UPDATED: AUG 14, 2003 An expensive beer but worth it for a treat. Redish in color it is a sweet flavor but no wine like headache or sourness. Man after a long hot day it is ideal. Whoever says nobody drinks for taste should wise up quickly with this or a weiss.

Only because lambics are in their own class, does this get these stellar ratings, not because this is the best beer I have ever had. It’s tart like a sour candy, and sweet. Like fresh rasberries were crushed and added. A decent amount of carbonation. You just can’t top the color or this beer. Even the head is dark pink. One of my favorite pubs makes a cheesecake out of this stuff. Sooo good.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2011 Amazing that I had not rated this one already as it has been a favorite for about 7 years now - though price keeps me from enjoying it nearly as often as I would like. Sampled on draft for the purpose of this rating the beer poured a vibrant beet red color with a medium sized pink head. The aroma was full and strong with tangy, tart and sweet berry. The flavor is strong and intense with tangy, tart yet sweet raspberry. the finish is long, tart and intense. Liquid glory.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2006 Fresh raspberry aroma and a fizzy, semi-frothy head. Nice fuscha lacing. Flavor is wonderfully fruity. Sweet from start to finish. Awesome with raspberry sorbet or pour a shot over a cup of the sorbet.

mmm i love this stuff. it’s great for the designated driver who wants to taste something refreshing, easy to drink, and low on alcohol. If this was highly alcoholic, it would be extremely dangerous. great to drink anytime. awesome on tap. best flavor Lindemans i’ve tried.

This rose colored, raspberry lambic beer is right on! The acidity of this lambic beer blends perfectly with the raspberries. Magnificent but subtle citrus aroma, deep and clear rose colored body with a soft, smooth, pink head. Delicate, sweet tasting palate of raspberries with undertones of tart berry, elegant, sparkling clean natural taste. Slightly sour, mouthwatering finish. This is probably not the best beer for typical social gatherings. However, it lends itself very well for: Chocolate desserts (especially chocolate decadence), fresh raspberries, ice cream with a raspberry demi-glaze sauce, sorbet, vinaigrette, crème caramel, baked Alaska, Olympia oysters, caviar. Personally, this is my all time favorite beer, this beer has a Gold Medal from the World Beer Championships!

My favorite Lambic of all time. Quintessential Framboise taste, very complex, tart, a bit sour and more sweet than most Lambic variates. Some people mix it with a bit of unfiltered wheat beer to tone it down. Serve it with fresh or dried fruit or with a fruity desert.
