Golden with a thin white head. THe nose is full of apples, grapes and yeast. The taste is sharp and crisp and finishes with a taste of fruity pebbles (the cereal). The body is delicate and full with a sparkeling pop. Quite drinkable and very good.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2004 1998 vintage-Drank a bottle of this in 2000.Loved it then, love it even more now. Great earthy aromas.I can smell the wild yeasts as soon as I pour, along with citrus (grapefruit?)Great carbonation with very assertive champagne-like bubbles. Incredibly dry and tart all the way through to the finish. I still have one more ’98 in my cellar but I don’t think it’s going to make it too far into ’04.

2002 Vintage: Cloudy apricot color with a large, fluffy white head. Very sour lemon and apple cider vinegar aroma. Makes my mouth water! Sour lemon, cider vinegar, granny smith apple, and wood flavors. Tingly feel, with a dry finish.

Too sweet, corky and fruity aroma. Hazy, yellow-orange coloured with a very thin white head. Taste is way more balanced than the aroma; It's less sweet. Woody, fruity (apple?) fresh taste, moderate soure, moderate bitter. Dry palate. Decent brew.

'94... Deep golden colour smallish champage like head (probably my weak ass pour). Gave the aroma a 5 as I'm a bit stuffed up, however the flavours came through loud and clear. Tart apples, sour grapes almost winelike tannic mouthfeel, sour but not like the Cantillon. I picked up more characteristics in the flavour. Slowly began to grow on me. I want to try a faro.

Really a very lovely gueuze, with a cloudy, medium to dark copper color and fluffy, slightly off white head. Nose is also very nice with a great combination of yeast, alcohol, and a great peppery quality. Flavor is very sour and quite nice. Overall, really a very good gueuze.
