3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
375 ml bottle
Clear pale orange beer with big white head. Pouring in the yeast makes it hazy. Aroma has gastric acid, vinegary sourness and barnyard. Pouring in the yeast adds citrusy refreshingness and sweet fruitiness. Flavor is sour with vinegar, limey, apple juicy, lightly wheaty and sugary sweet. Palate is thin with high carbonation. Finish has a quite heavy bite of bitterness. Aftertaste is limey, apple juicy and sour. There’s a dash of gastric acid floating around this beer. Otherwise it’s a well balanced gueuze, maybe a bit too sour.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 20/20
Aroma is sour wild funky. Dandelion. Outdoorsy like a fisbee golf course in spring. Like a wet wood. Yeasty... Like an earthy yeasty. Yeah I could probably sniff this all day.
Looks dandelion color. Medium head.
Taste is like the smell but not as pure. Sourness overtakes. Wine like tannins also dominate. Too earthy for the sourness I think. It’s like a three way battle between funky woody, sour floral, and earthy yeast. Probably should only have two. Complex but not amazingly balanced.
Palate is an explosion of carbonation and very aggressive sourness. Otherwise dry dry dry.
Overall this beer has the nostalgia of being the first beer I actively searched for. I still remember seeing it on the shelf at that crappy liquor store at university of michigan. Bam there it was! Remember popping the bottle back at the apartment and being like what the fuck this is beer? 20/20
Eat your heart out style raters.

1.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Very dry. Yuck. Would not buy. Maybe I just don’t like the style. Probably that’s why I’m so excited to be the first half of the day before I get a follow back on my way home from work.
