2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
375ml bottle poured into tulip. Pours a rather pure golden with some finger-thick head. Aroma is faint barnyard, green apples, some faint malt base and cider vinegar. Taste is really not the best I’ve had the chance to witness in a geuze or any type of sour ale, generally speaking...Very, very tart. Upon drinking it you soon notice that those green apple aromas are like...interrupted. You can perceive the apple’s tartness but then no sugar content at all...and it then fades away into not much. Mouthfeel is pretty watery with average carbo. Pretty long acidic aftertaste. Overall this is pretty weak compared to a Cantillon gueuze bio, for example, which is so way more complex...this is not "champagne" at all. I had medium-high expectations for this but it was a huge disappointment (especially at 13.99 $ a bottle at le St-Bock). I just wonder if I had a bad bottle, reading the rave reviews this brew had...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.75 l bottle from Pivoteka Zagreb. Shared with Vi?nja and Goran, thanks! Opaque creamy pale orange, quickly diminishing white head. High carbonation. Pear and orange. Smoke, funky aroma. Citrus like sourness. Sourness is not a problem, but carbonation makes it harder to drink. Sour citrus finish. Cool.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale yellow beer with a typical quick fading and frothy head. Aroma of green apple, lemon, funk and some vinegar - not as complex as I expected. Dry with strong sourness and fruity notes (closer to gooseberry or sour apples) thus quite refreshing. Really good, although I expected a bit more complexity from an oude gueze style of beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy with frothy head. Dissipates but medium retention.
Herby aroma with apples and slight cheese...
Slight sweetness followed by solid sourness. Crisp and dry finish with high carbonation. Not very complex on the palate but still tasty... enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The beer pours a little hazy, yellow/orange with a white, two finger high, fluffy head. It looks beatiful!
Nose: Funk, tart, hay, orange, citrus, yeast, green apple, very fruity, grass, acid notes, barnyard and herbs. I’m in LOVE with that nose!
Taste: Oh! This is beatiful! Lime, funk, tart, citrus, apple, tangerine and some honey.
Body: Medium body. Crisp and refreshing carbonation. Sweet but yet dry aftertaste.
This is a beatiful beer!

Hazy golden with an average frothy head. Typical gueuze aromas, cheese cellar, sour apples, straw. Great sweet sour balance. Medium to high carbonation, smooth. Mouth watering.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, a nice one. Pours fizzy hazy orange with smal disappearing head. Aroma is grape soda, herbal, grassy, funky straw, hay and grain. Un-ripe apricot, and slight soapy. Orange zest and grapes. Taste has more brett, vinegar and earthy profile. Grassy, grapes, lime, herbal spiciness, sweet tang, mandarin, orange, sour lacto. Dry finish with lang tangy zesty feel and fizzy light body. Different one. Some wheat in finish too. Value for money indeed.

Een bijzonder fijne en aangename Geuze van Lindemans, heb deze afgelopen zomer voor het eerst gedronken en was echt bijzonder aangenaam verrast.
Een bijzonder rijk smaakpalet, ook heel goed bier om mee te koken.
