A golden hue sets off the wonderful almost champagne like taste.

Pours dark yellow with a lasting head. Aroma of malt, banana, grapefruit and cloves. Taste is similar with cloves, earth and cheese. Full bodied with a nice palate. Not as funky as I thought it would be.

bottle sample, poured a golden colour with a white head, sour green apples, oak, cider, citrus, medium tartness, bit of horseblanket, high carbonation, chapagne yeast. taste is not that sour. it’s more for a starting geuze drinker

Gentle aroma of fruits, oak, white wine, hint of funk. Flavour starts out tart and evolves into a medium sourness. Quite enjoyable Geuze.

Big bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Immediate overpowering bitternes to the detriment of the whole tasting experience. I couldn’t enjoy it for this reason.

Pours golden/amber, slight haze and full head. Smells like stonefruit and oak, melon and apple cider. Nice tangy tartness followed by a medium sourness as some spiciness creeps up at the end. There is a slight tannin taste resembling Champagne at the end. Very light and low bubble mouth-feel. Excellently balanced sour beer. Recommend this as an introduction to Gueuze beers, it is very moreish.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate lemon, light leather. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, white initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, light-orange body. Taste: moderately sour, leather initial flavor and moderately sour, lemon finish with long duration. Palate: light body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: easy to drink and refreshing.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours a bit darker than other gueuzes, dirty light bronze pour with a light head that quickly fades. Some light funk, sugary sweetness, lemonpeel, some white wine and some light vanilla.

Pale in colour, slightly hazy, nice foam. Aroma is that of very clear sourness, hints of Bret yeasts. Taste is refreshingly sour, no off-flavours. Very good. Comparable to Hanssens’ Oude Gueuze.
