Never had a guezue, so i took a bottle from ’De Caigny’ in Essen Belgium. Most beers from Lindemans are quiet good, so i opted for this gueuze to try. Smells like a high alcohol desert wine. Tastes like vinegar and corbonation. Tasteless. I’m quiet sure gueuze is not for me.

Flaske.

In the aroma tones of fruit vinegar, sugar sweetness, notes of pickled apples. In a desperate sour taste with citrus, apple notes and ascorbic, behind a little sugar and herbaceous tones. In the aftertaste there is a light-light grassy bitterness, acidity continues to drag on, but not too long.

25cl bottle at home in Richmond, 5.0% BB Sep 2016. Picked up in Belgium. Pale brown, slight haze, no head at all. Aroma is sweet, apricot, talc, touch of cider. Body is medium, smooth, tingly carbonation. Taste is demerara, vegetable stock, cider, light sourness. Leans towards sweet rather than sour. Not as dry and tart as you’d expect a gueuze to be, which may suit people who prefer sweet flavours.

(lane, 05.12.2015 House of Beer) Barwa głębokiego bursztynu, piana szybko zanikająca.

Lindemans Geuze 5% I picked this up at Grand Marché in Minoh. It pours a deep orange color which matches the label. The nose is weird: I got banana peel & plum and an underlying tartness. The taste is more typically geuze like tart, a bit of cork, somewhat sweet, slightly acidic, hay, plums/peaches. A bit tangy and on the sweet side but a decent little geuze.
