A small cellaring project but has worked a treat. Quite dark in the glass with dark orange / amber due. Aged gueuze fruits on the nose but very rich with a sherried, winery, lemon note. Really nice. Relatively mild to taste save for a ping of sour fruits in the back palate. Some aniseed bitterness to finish as well. Not sure it will get any better?

Attractive light tan brown - nice. Expressive nose of smoke and sour grapes. Good presence. Palate packs in plenty - sour fruits, old vinous notes, maybe a sherry touch, and a tart finish that doesn’t dominate. A layer of sweetness kicks in late, giving the impression that there’s a touch of dosage included. (e2.50 @ Trappist House Gent)

This had a nice aroma, very fruity and sweet. It was a little sweet, but not too sweet, which I like. I found this more enjoyable than the Apple one, not bad overall.

(Bottle) pours light hazy orange. Aroma of wood, apples and some vinegar with hints of grain. Flavour is to sweet for my taste. Sweet with vinegar and some salt. Dry wood. Small to medium body.

mmmm-strong aroma, spiced pears, salty white wine like, rum, raisins, cinnamon, suagr, and wild grass fields. clear pure amber with large rim bubbles. sour white wine fruits raisins sweets, sharp, champage, red apples on the tongue. sticky/sour/sharp/sweet palate. an easy one, more enjoyable than I’d imagined it would be.

Bottled(250ml). -Murky orange coloured, no head at all, citric nose. Lot less sour than Boon Oude Gueze so much easy to drink. Malty and lemony in aroma, moderate sweet stum taste and finish.

4% bottle, at the Hopdevil in Zagreb
Poured a nice ice tea like slightly misty dark orange colour, tiny head that went fast. A faint nose... lemony acidity and brett. The taste... as expected, like a lighter version of the Cuvée René, but as good as that. Not all that acidic in my opinion, astringent, bretty funkiness, lemony (maybe some apples) and maybe a touch of maltiness. Not assertive but quite pleasant. I’d have it again. Umm... contains acesulfame k... ok, that’s safe, but why an artificial sweetener ?

Aroma of dry white wine, apples quite sour, light fruits (grapes) and nice and spicy. Appearance is a cloudy brownish color almost looks like apple cider with a minimal off white head. Very nice sour apple taste that quickly diminishes and is quick. No discernible hop characteristics, but this is really good. Palate is nice and light, carbonated, and somewhat sour. Overall, This is pretty good stuff definitely worth the price tag.

This gueze pours a light golden color with a small white head. The aroma is funky and sour with some vinegar aromas. Palate is medium bodied and nice. Flavors are smooth, but not extremely sour. Plenty of oak hints and sweetness.
