37,7 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Old yellow with a thin white head. Cellar aroma with some lemon. Sour taste with some odd sweetness. Dry aftertaste. Decent gueuze but a bit spoiled by the sweetness.

250 ml bottle. Aroma very acidic with apples and something reminding of apple peels. Flavor is sweet with hints of fruit. Very good balance between sweetness and acidity.

Bottle. Poured cloudy golden color with a thin head. Vinegar in the aroma. Sour, a little barnyard funk but not overpowering. A nice lambic to try if you’ve never had one before.

25cl. Bottle Poors hazy dark orange with tiny head. Aroma syrup, sweet, malts, little sour. Taste sour, lots of sour. Little Sweet. Mouth-feel thin. I just don’t know about these sour beers, I guess it’s just not my thing :). Taste and Aroma is what it should be is my guess.

Can’t remember where I had this one, unfortunately. It was on tap at a restaurant in Brussels around 28/12/12.
Aroma: Syrup, citrus, and some basement aromas.
Appearance: A medium amber color with a small white head.
Taste: Quite sweet for a geuze. Otherwise a little bit tart.
Palate: Medium bodied, sticky texture, and a lively carbonation.

Golden colour, white dissipating head. Sweet aroma, light funk, malts and sweetener. Rather sweet flavour, only light citric acid sourness. Sweet citrus finish, candied lemon peel, zest.
(From 37.5 cL bottle @ home. Bought in Northern France, as Gueuze Foudroyante)

Bottle at home, labeled "foudroyante" with Lindemans listed as the brewer and bottler. Pours a clear dark amber with plenty of fizz, reminiscent of champagne. Slight bite of sourness on the nose, but quite thin on the mouth. Savory tastes of yeast and slight funk, but not strong by any means. Decent entry-level gueuze, I’d say.

Tap @ The Earl of Essex Zwanze Day Celebration. "Thanks" to Bruce for the pour! The appearance is medium amber with a small white head. The nose is butterscotch candy, Werther’s Original, a bit of sweet syrup. The taste is crushed hard candy, a bit of red apple skin. Only the slightest hint of lactic funk. Sweet finish. Light body, a bit cloying. Overall, not a nice geuze.

Bottle at home (Noel Cuveliers farmshop) 04/12/12. Almost clear dark orange amber with a big frothy white head upon pour that vanishes in an instant! Nose is woody, earthy, horses, farmyard, a little sweet and tarte. Taste comprises sweet sugars, a little mustiness, damp wood, peach tones. Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation leading to a sweet finish. Drinkable but too sweet, not enough tarte and sour !
