Armoa is skunky, like a Heineken. Taste is slightly sour and acidic. Not too sweet. Not many flavors going on here, tastes like a sour cider.

Bottle from Texas Wine Cellar, Fredericksburg, Texas
Pours a lush amber gold, with a lasting head. Reminds me of ginger ale with more head... Anyway, aroma is straight farmhouse earth tones, with hay and sweet wheat. Nice undercurrent of straw as well. Taste is sweetened ice tea, with emphasis on the sugary friggin’ aspect of sweetened ice tea. Very fruity flavor; hints of orange, mango, and watermelon. Palate tickles the tongue. Not bad; I actually enjoyed it; but waaaaay too sweet for the style.

Gold body, thinnish white head. Nose has apples, fruit, horsey goodness but quite sweet. The flavor is wayyy too sweet - lemon, apple pie, a hint of oak. Not too complex. Oh well... I shoulda expected this from Lindemans.

Bottle. Nice dark honey body with a thick film of bubbles. Nose-funky fruit. Taste-WOW! SWEET! And I mean "SWEET" like apple juice sweet, is this a faro? This tastes like a really mediocore faro! Orange, artificial sweetner, cotton candy, light funk. This is a faro, right? No? Then why is it so damned sweet? Something must of gone wrong with this. If you took apple juice and combined it with brett, this is what you would get. Looses A BUNCH OF F*****G POINTS because it is way too sweet.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2006 one of the only avaible in Tejas. Nice aroma, barnyard and citrus notes. Flavour was weak on the palate. Mild in acidity. Fairly weak acidity for the style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Sigmund (3495) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - MAR 9, 2006
375 ml capped and corked bottle, as Gueuze Foudroyante, bought in France. ABV is 4.0%. Hazy dark amber colour, large to moderate off-white head. Sweet and sourish aroma, reminiscent of some cheap white wines, hints of oak, cider apples, rotting berries and barnyard too. Flavour is very sweet, sweeter than any other gueuze I’ve had (not that I’ve had very many), strong notes of rotting fruits and berries, sourish but not astringent. Short sourish-sweet aftertaste. Worth a try, but won’t buy again.

Smells of the same sweet/sour as the others. Above average carbonation, looks amazing in the glass first, & is very complex and tart... at first. The finish kinds sucks. The last few inches in my glass looks like piss pond water beer,. Odd, but some how still prob. my favorite of theirs’. Just too sweet, not really dry enough. Bottled, by the way.
