Bottle 375ml. Aged 18 months piror to tasting. Poured cloudy golden with a large, foamy, off-white head which was mostly lasting. Strong notes of funky wild yeast in the aroma with barnyard notes, forest floor notes, wet grain, lemon juice, lemon zest and vitamin C. Flavor was of acidic fruit with sour grain, wild yeast, moss, barnyard notes, petrified wood, tart green grape skins and cumquats. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry/tart mouthfeel and a good length finish.

Why did somebody put some apple juice and simple syrup in my gueuze? Definitely not the best of this style.

250ml bottle Appeareance: Clear Aroma:Sweet applejuice meets vinegar. Taste: Quite sweet malts, befor some vinegar notes pour true and the it finishes without complexity. Medium body, sticky texture and average natural carbonation in palate. Better stick to the Cuvée René if you want to have a Lindemans Geuze. Or one of there Fruity beers. Which are more tart and more complex as this. This was simpley bad., Geuze meets alcoPop.

250mL bottle, pours a hazy amber orange with a large white head. Aroma is vinegary, with notes of sweetness and fruity notes - obviously not authentic at all. Flavour is fairly vinegary, with lots of sweetness and candied notes. Sweet and vinegary with no funk or any complexity at all. Not good at all.

The aroma is of ripe fruits, reminiscent of plum wine. Pours darkish orange with a small, quickly dissipating head. Sour, a citrusy kind of sourness that put the kind of look on my face I must have had when I tasted lemon for the first time as a kid; very little sweetness in the background and no bitterness whatsoever. The body is medium, the carbonation soft, and the finish lemony sour. It’s not too bad far as drinks for a hot day go; it’s just, well, a very Belgian interpretation of the concept of beer.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Light lemony sourness and floral notes. The beer turns a lot sweeter, getting Faro like. Touch of generic fruits. Light finish.

Kita (973) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle, 0.375l. Hazy amber color with thin white head, some floating particles and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, bready malt, vinegar, citrus and berries. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, then immediately follows by fruity and vinous sourness, mouthfeel is a bit spicy, while finish is tarte without any bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture and average natural carbonation in palate. Good to make faces :)

Aroma of yeast and ripe fruit. Taste is fruity and sour. Palate is slick and carbonated. Easy to drink but not my cup of tea.

Couleur ambrée, quelques suspensions, petite mousse blanche.

Capped and corked and foiled 37.5cl green glass bottle pours with a more of a Gueze like aroma than I was expecting where it takes on the form of a clear copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a light tan head of foam. So the aroma from the glass starts with a tart acidic lime like funky Gueze yeastiness. A few more whiffs seem to reveal more of a mild powder apple sweet/tart candy like sensation. All in all a pretty Gueze-y aroma. The taste begins with tart acidic notes that have a mild puckering bite to them. It then gets into a modest degree of red apple sweetness before a malty sweet backed yeasty to funky acidic tartness takes the experience into the semi dry finish.
